A costume party went on until 2 a.m.

Alvin's Indiana Jones never did get his "reward."

Gisele had become friends with Sif, the Valkyrie from Asgard. The two women, both unlucky in love, decided to do something about it. So, once they were drunk, they approached Alvin of their own accord—one to "confess her feelings," the other to beat him up.

When two fully armored Valkyries showed up at his door, Alvin initially tried to crack a few jokes to lighten the mood. But the hopeless Gisele wrapped her arms around his neck and threw up all the alcohol she'd drunk that night, getting her revenge at last.

Sif saw how miserable Alvin looked and couldn't bring herself to hit him. She couldn't sort out her own problems, but she certainly had plenty of spirit when it came to standing up for others. In the middle of the restaurant, she watched Alvin "confess" to Gisele on her behalf.

Heaven only knew whether Sif was speaking for Gisele or herself. At the emotional climax, the goddess looked toward Thor, who was cowering in the distance, with tears streaming from her eyes. Then she punched the unsuspecting Alvin in the stomach. Afterward, clutching her own belly in pain, she helped the unconscious Gisele out of the restaurant.

The "victim," Alvin, could only shrug at his own "Laura," insisting he was innocent.

Early the next morning, Alvin woke up on a little cot behind the bar.

Feeling the weight on his chest, Alvin sleepily opened his eyes and saw little Ginny lying on top of him like a koala. Her messy little face twitched as she mumbled in her sleep.

Looking at the huge wet patch on his chest, Alvin guessed his little girl was having a feast in her dreams.
