The Indian billionaire Masrani had raised funds from various sources to build three gridlike steel walls. These walls extended deep underwater, connecting the three islands.

This created a natural, controllable aquarium in the center of the three islands. It had only one resident for now, but Jurassic World's major shareholder, Norman Osborn, had sent word that a batch of genuine prehistoric Megalodons would soon be making their home there.

Masrani knew full well that Norman Osborn hadn't brought the Megalodons here merely to attract tourists. Still, it wasn't really his concern. Osborn was, after all, the project's major shareholder. There was no reason to think he'd do anything to harm it.
