Are You Ready?

Alvin and Frank stood inside a tent, watching Stark place one of his wristbands on a table.

After fiddling with it for a moment, the wristband projected an image onto the tent wall.

In the image, Nick Fury sat in a chair, missing an arm and a leg, his expression exceptionally grim.

Frank looked at Nick Fury in his sorry state. He hesitated, but ultimately decided to keep quiet.

Nick Fury looked like he'd been attacked, but it definitely had nothing to do with Steve and the others.

If Steve wanted to beat him up, there was no reason he'd have to tell Alvin first!

Steve walked into the frame, his expression serious. JJ, Thor, and an unfamiliar black man followed him.

Seeing that, Alvin—who'd been looking forward to mocking Nick Fury a little—realized something was off.

Steve might have trouble handling something on his own, but if he was bringing JJ and Thor along, it had to be serious.

Alvin racked his brain, but couldn't think of anyone who'd go looking for trouble with Steve at a time like this.

"What happened? Did aliens attack New York again? Has S.H.I.E.L.D. become so useless that it has to send its director to the front lines?"

Steve gave a bitter smile, found a chair, and sat down. He told Alvin everything, then said resolutely, "I'm going to destroy S.H.I.E.L.D. and Hydra once and for all. I need advice and help."

Alvin was silent for a moment after hearing him out. He carefully thought over what Steve had just told him: Hydra, Sokovia Hydra, and the remnants of the vampires in Sokovia.

If Alvin had to deal with those things himself, it wouldn't be complicated at all. He'd grab his ax, find anyone who looked like an enemy, and chop them down.
