Alvin’s group faced another demon to prove their abilities to the Kamar-Taj mages, while Mage Karen remained reluctant to trust them. JJ brutally killed the demon, leaving the young mages shaken as Alvin urged Wang Yuan to persuade Karen to accept their help.

• Mage Karen praised Steve’s fighting skill but refused to let the group face demons until each person proved they could protect themselves.
• JJ volunteered to fight the next demon, while Stark asked him to kill it quickly and Norman Osborn requested its head for examination.
• JJ overpowered the demon and tore open its chest, ignoring its claws as he fought to preserve its head for Norman.

Alvin ended Mage Karen’s test by using Lawbringer’s Sanctuary Aura to destroy the demons and a Phantasm possessing Walter. After Karen welcomed Alvin’s group as allies and warned that many powerful demons had crossed into Earth, Alvin agreed to begin hunting them.

Alvin created the Ice runeword in Venom, leveled up by absorbing energy from Gluttony Demons, and unleashed a massive Blizzard across the valley. The storm overwhelmed the Kamar-Taj mages’ defenses, while Stark detected its energy from afar.

• Alvin reached the valley’s center, made Venom into a 1911 pistol, and applied the Amn, Shael, Jah, and Lo runes to create Ice.

Alvin discovered that his level-40 Blizzard had devastated the valley, but Mage Karen realized that the Kamar-Taj mages had escaped through the Mirror Dimension. Strange had saved them by activating the dimension and later opened a portal toward a familiar hospital supply closet.

• Alvin found the Blizzard had frozen the valley and disabled War God No. 3’s electronics, then met Fat Wang Yuan at the entrance.
• Fat Wang Yuan blamed Alvin and nearly attacked him, but Mage Karen stopped him and determined that Mordo and the other mages were still alive in the Mirror Dimension.

Alvin and Ivan fought off Gluttony Demons while Alvin caught Baal Moloch, a disguised Demon who claimed he could explain the rift and help close it. Alvin left Baal wounded and pinned down, then went to support Ivan as Wang Yuan was summoned back.

• Wang Yuan rescued an injured Mage through a portal, and Ivan charged into the Demons with his Electric Whips while Alvin covered him.

• Norman Osborn discovered that firing Pumpkin Bombs through the Space Rift sent demons back out, while Mage Karen thanked Alvin and explained Kamar-Taj’s role as Wall-Keepers.

After Alvin and his crew returned from battling demons, Baal revealed Mephisto’s plans and the reason he had been sent to Earth. Alvin left the others to investigate Baal’s red boomerang and followed Fox upstairs.

• Wang Yuan came to the Peace Hotel to help Alvin clear out demon gathering spots on Earth, and Baal told them Mephisto had hidden in Hell and sent demons to Earth to distract The Ancient One.
• Baal revealed that Mephisto had placed a bounty on the Hellfire Seed to kill Alvin, while Baal’s father had sent him to retrieve the Moloch clan artifact Scarlet and avenge Lahm.
