Ch. 241Yuanshi's change

Yuanshi Tianzun accepted twelve disciples who passed the Yuqing Formation Eye, including the Qilin Clan’s Mo Yu. His acceptance of disciples from varied origins showed how years within the Divine Dao System had changed his views.

  • True Lord Qingxu Daode and Daoxing Tianzun emerged from the Yuqing Formation Eye, and Yuanshi Tianzun accepted them as direct disciples.
  • Yu Ding Zhenren, True Person Chixiao, True Person Qingxu, and True Person Lingyao passed the trial and joined the Yuqing lineage.
  • Mo Yu, grandson of the Qilin Clan’s Primordial Qilin, emerged from the formation and asked to enter the Yuqing lineage.
  • Yuanshi Tianzun examined Mo Yu’s talent and accepted him as his twelfth direct disciple.
  • Pan Xuan recognized that Yuanshi Tianzun’s acceptance of Huang Long and Mo Yu reflected the Divine Dao System’s influence on the Three Pure Ones.
  • Yuanshi Tianzun told the twelve disciples to understand their responsibility to expound the Dao, and they bowed together.

Ch. 242Tongtian's Change, the Interception Sect's Four Direct Disciples

Tongtian changed the Shangqing Array Eye to test seekers’ character and karmic force as well as their swordhearts. Duobao, Golden Spirit Holy Mother, Turtle Spirit Holy Mother, and Wudang Holy Mother passed and became the Interception Sect’s four direct disciples.

  • Tongtian revised the Shangqing Array Eye to reject seekers with crooked character or heavy karmic force, while allowing those turned away for karmic force to try again later.
  • Duobao overcame his fear of losing his treasure-seeking ability and realized that he himself was his own treasure, earning Tongtian’s acceptance as a direct disciple.
  • Jin Ling passed with a swordlight that balanced sharpness and restraint, and Tongtian accepted her into the sect.
  • Gui Ling passed with a defensive sword path and was accepted by Tongtian.
  • Wudang passed with a sword path blending moonlight’s softness and the Sword Dao’s strength, completing Tongtian’s four new direct disciples.

Ch. 243Changes among the Interception Sect Disciples

Tongtian accepted the six attendant immortals and numerous outer disciples into the Interception Sect after they emerged from the Shangqing Array Eye, while Long-Eared Dingguang Immortal failed its test and was sent out. The chapter ended as a young man with gold-and-silver sword light emerged from the Shangqing Array Eye after wavering between it and the Taiqing Array Eye.

  • Wuyun Xian, Golden Hoop Immortal, Pilu Xian, Qiu Shou Xian, Ling Ya Xian, and Jinguang Xian passed the array and were accepted into Tongtian's lineage.
  • Long-Eared Dingguang Immortal tried to evade his fear within the array, failed its judgment, and was sent out; Tongtian said he could return after strengthening his resolve.
  • Wang Mo, Yang Sen, Gao Youqian, Li Xingba, the Ten Heavenly Lords, Han Zhi Xian, Fairy Caiyun, Luo Xuan, Lü Yue, Li Ping, and Yu Yuan emerged and joined the Interception Sect's outer ranks.
  • Mo Liqing, Mo Lihong, Mo Lihai, and Mo Lishou passed the array together, and Tongtian assigned them to guard the sect and repel its enemies.
  • Shi Ji and Fire Spirit Holy Mother emerged from the array and joined the outer disciples.
  • A young man with gold-and-silver sword light wavered between the Taiqing and Shangqing Array Eyes before settling on the Shangqing Array Eye and emerging.

Ch. 244The Dao is taught to Six-Eared

Sect Master Tongtian accepted Six-Eared Macaque as the Interception Sect’s fifth direct disciple despite Hong Jun’s edict sealing his ability to comprehend the Dao through listening. The chapter ended with Six-Eared Macaque gaining a new path to cultivation and the Divine Dao System openly challenging Hong Jun’s authority.

  • Six-Eared Macaque passed the Shangqing Array Eye’s trial and begged Sect Master Tongtian to accept him as a disciple.
  • Pan Xuan urged Tongtian to accept Six-Eared Macaque as an act of the Dao of Gathering Life, despite Hong Jun’s edict.
  • Tongtian named Six-Eared Macaque the Interception Sect’s fifth direct disciple and declared that Hong Jun’s rule did not apply within the sect.
  • Six-Eared Macaque kowtowed in gratitude, and Tongtian told him that the Sword Dao depended on his swordheart rather than his sealed listening ability.
  • Pan Xuan saw the Three Pure Ones’ discipleship programs carrying the Divine Dao System’s teachings into practice and Hong Jun’s rules losing their hold.

Ch. 245Granted the name Wuzhen, his divine ability restored

The Three Pure Ones’ recruitment ceremony ended with Zhao Gongming and the three Xiao sisters joining the Interception Sect, while Wuzhen became Tongtian’s fifth direct disciple. With help from the Three Pure Ones and Pan Xuan, Wuzhen broke Hong Jun’s Heavenly Dao brand and recovered his divine hearing ability.

  • Zhao Gongming and Yunxiao, Qiongxiao, and Bixiao passed the Shangqing Array Eye trial and became Tongtian’s outer disciples; Ao Qing, Feng Ming, and Mo Yu also joined the Three Pure Ones’ schools.
  • Pan Xuan urged Tongtian to give Six-Eared Macaque a new name, and Tongtian named him Wuzhen, meaning to comprehend his true self.
  • Pan Xuan asked the Three Pure Ones to remove Hong Jun’s brand, and Taiqing Laozi, Yuanshi, and Tongtian joined forces to break it from Wuzhen’s true spirit.
  • Pan Xuan used the Heavenly Enlightenment Wisdom Light to heal Wuzhen’s true spirit, restoring his divine hearing ability.
  • Tongtian welcomed Wuzhen’s freedom, and Pan Xuan suggested that Wuzhen work with Fuxi by combining his Dao of Hearing with Fuxi’s Dao of Deduction.
  • Wuzhen returned to stand with the Interception Sect’s direct disciples as the Three Pure Ones’ recruitment ceremony concluded.

Ch. 246Glimpsing Heaven through the Eight Trigrams

Fuxi used the innate eight trigrams to uncover Hong Jun’s scheme to control the Heavenly Dao and bind future Sages through Primordial Violet Qi and the severing of emotions. He warned Nuwa, whose Primordial Violet Qi could endanger her as she approached Sagehood, and she decided they should go to Mount Buzhou.

  • Fuxi divined that Hong Jun’s lectures, gifts of Primordial Violet Qi, and plans for the Heavenly Court were steps toward controlling the Heavenly Dao.
  • Fuxi discovered that Primordial Violet Qi could bind future Sages’ wills to Hong Jun and that severing emotions could make them compliant vessels.
  • Fuxi realized that Nuwa’s Primordial Violet Qi might activate its restrictions as she neared Sagehood, so he went to her in seclusion.
  • Fuxi told Nuwa what he had learned, and she listened in silence before resolving to go with him to Mount Buzhou.

Ch. 247Violet Qi entered Reincarnation

Pan Xuan stripped the Primordial Violet Qi from Nuwa, Jieyin, and Zhunti while Hong Jun was unable to interfere from within the Heavenly Dao Core. He sealed the three strands and sent them into the Six Paths of Reincarnation to nourish the Earthly Dao.

  • Pan Xuan invited Jieyin and Zhunti to join Nuwa in having their Primordial Violet Qi stripped away.
  • Nuwa, Jieyin, and Zhunti sat in a triangular formation as Pan Xuan used the Star Divine Dao Seal and Light of Chaos to strip their three strands simultaneously.
  • Hong Jun sensed Divine Dao Power eroding the violet qi and tried to interfere, but the Pangu True Body blocked his will inside the Heavenly Dao Core.
  • Pan Xuan separated all three strands from their hosts, severing their connections to Hong Jun and leaving Jieyin and Zhunti marked by Divine Dao Law.
  • Pan Xuan sealed the strands in the Star Seal and used the Treasure-Dropping Golden Coin to send them into the Six Paths Reincarnation Disk.

Ch. 248Nuwa Joined the Divine Dao, Becoming the Creation Venerable

Nuwa joined the Divine Dao System as the Creation Venerable, completing its framework and boosting its fortune. Pan Xuan then summoned the Twelve Ancestral Witches and the Three Pure Ones to discuss what the expanding order still lacked, ending with a copper coin in hand.

  • Pan Xuan thanked Nuwa, Jieyin, and Zhunti for severing their ties to the Primordial Violet Qi, and Jieyin and Zhunti described how their Dao hearts and Vow Power Method had advanced.
  • Nuwa chose to join the Divine Dao System and contribute the Creation Great Dao, and Pan Xuan appointed her Creation Venerable with authority over creation.
  • The Star Divine Dao Seal gained a Qiankun Cauldron imprint, and the Divine Dao System's fortune surged as Nuwa was welcomed by Fuxi, Jieyin, Zhunti, the Twelve Ancestral Witches, and the Three Pure Ones.
  • Pan Xuan reflected that the Divine Dao had gathered the world's major powers, while anticipating a final contest with the Heavenly Dao when the Sages emerged.
  • Pan Xuan summoned the Twelve Ancestral Witches and the Three Pure Ones to Pangu Hall, asked what the Divine Dao's expanding framework still lacked, and took a copper coin from his sleeve.

Ch. 249Two Great Daos, a Plan to Mend the Heavens

Pan Xuan revealed that the Treasure-Dropping Golden Coin contained the Great Dao of Transactions and the postnatal wealth Dao, laws that could let ordinary beings participate in the Divine Dao System. He proposed first adding both laws to the Heavenly Dao, then integrating them into the Divine Dao Network and establishing the practices needed for the wealth Dao to function.

  • Pan Xuan used the Treasure-Dropping Golden Coin to reveal its laws to the Twelve Ancestral Witches and the Three Pure Ones.
  • The Twelve Ancestral Witches found little connection between the coin's laws and their own Great Daos, while the Three Pure Ones and Houtu sensed laws independent of the Heavenly Dao and Earthly Dao.
  • Pan Xuan explained that the coin contained the Great Dao of Transactions and the postnatal wealth Dao, which could govern exchanges and help ordinary cultivators access resources through the Divine Dao System.
  • Taiqing Laozi, Yuanshi, and Tongtian recognized that these laws would make the Divine Dao System more directly accessible to all living beings.
  • Pan Xuan said transaction law could enter the Divine Dao System through the coin, but the wealth Dao needed institutions and participation from the Primordial World's living beings.
  • Pan Xuan proposed first adding the two laws to the Heavenly Dao, then introducing the wealth Dao throughout the Primordial World through the Divine Dao Network.

Ch. 250Mending the Heavens and Integrating the Daos, Expanding the Divine Dao

Pan Xuan used the Treasure-Dropping Golden Coin to add Transaction Law and the Postnatal Wealth Dao to the Heavenly Dao, completing its laws and earning vast merit. He channeled that merit into the Divine Dao Network, whose appointed gods across the Primordial World gained new ways to regulate exchanges and allocate resources.

  • Pan Xuan explained that Transaction Law and the Wealth Dao should first mend the Heavenly Dao before being integrated into the Divine Dao System, and Di Jiang agreed.
  • Pan Xuan brought the Treasure-Dropping Golden Coin to the altar on Mount Buzhou and offered the origins of both Daos to the Heavenly Dao.
  • Hong Jun sensed the new laws enter the Heavenly Dao, sealing gaps in its framework and granting Pan Xuan the merit and authority for the change.
  • The Heavenly Dao recognized Pan Xuan’s act with a pillar of merit, which he distributed throughout the Divine Dao Network and its appointed gods.
  • Ancestral Dragon, Yuanfeng, and Primordial Qilin recognized that Transaction Law would improve how their clans allocated resources and governed their domains.
  • Jieyin, Zhunti, Zhen Yuanzi, Hong Yun, Minghe, Fuxi, and Nuwa sensed how the new laws strengthened the Divine Dao and affected their own authorities.

Ch. 251A Fragment of the Jade Plate of Creation, Hong Jun Bestows a Treasure

As the Divine Dao System’s expansion strengthened the Pangu True Body and forced Hong Jun’s will to retreat, Hong Jun sent Di Jun a fragment of the Creation Jade Disc to speed his path to Sagehood. Di Jun accepted the treasure, ordered Heavenly Court to prepare for war, and entered seclusion until he became a Sage.

  • Di Jun told Taiyi that Heavenly Court could not wait any longer and that they must cultivate the method of severing the Seven Emotions and Six Desires with the Three Corpses.
  • The Divine Dao System’s new transaction law and Wealth Dao strengthened the Pangu True Body, breaking its stalemate with Hong Jun and forcing Hong Jun’s will toward the Heavenly Dao Core.
  • Hong Jun removed a fingernail-sized fragment from the Creation Jade Disc and secretly sent it to Di Jun on Sun Star.
  • Di Jun caught the fragment and felt its law origins resonate with the primordial violet qi, greatly shortening the time needed to strive for Sagehood.
  • Di Jun ordered Heavenly Court to enter full war readiness, commanded the forces to drill the Zhoutian Star Dou Great Array, and entered seclusion until he became a Sage.

Ch. 252Laws entered the Earthly Dao, Pan Xuan's proposal

Pan Xuan and Houtu integrated the Transaction Law and Wealth Dao into the Earthly Dao, refining judgment and reincarnation. Pan Xuan then proposed an open selection to fill the Netherworld’s vacant divine offices and outlined its three trials.

  • Pan Xuan and Houtu incorporated the Transaction Law and Wealth Dao into the Earthly Dao through the Six Paths Reincarnation Disk, making judgment and rebirth follow clearer rules.
  • Pan Xuan told the assembled witches and Three Pure Ones that the Netherworld lacked enough officials to manage judgment, ferries, Meng Po Pavilion, the Ghost Gate, and other duties.
  • Pan Xuan proposed an open selection for Netherworld offices regardless of candidates’ backgrounds or cultivation, and Zhu Rong, Gong Gong, Di Jiang, Laozi, Yuanshi, and Tongtian supported it.
  • Pan Xuan outlined three trials: Houtu’s formation would test insight into Netherworld Law, the Three Pure Ones’ illusion would test impartiality, and Pan Xuan’s Fengdu Illusion Realm would test administrative ability and judgment.

Ch. 253The Netherworld Recruitment Assembly

Pan Xuan summoned the orthodox gods to oversee an open selection for vacant Netherworld divine offices, then organized three fair trials and announced that applicants from across the Primordial World could register. The chapter ended with countless cultivators converging on the Ghost Gate by the Blood Sea.

  • Pan Xuan used the Star Divine Dao Seal to invite the orthodox gods to serve as examiners for the Netherworld selection.
  • Ancestral Dragon, Yuanfeng, Primordial Qilin, Jieyin, Zhunti, Fuxi, Nuwa, Zhen Yuanzi, Hong Yun, Randeng, and Minghe traveled to the Netherworld and agreed to oversee the trials.
  • Houtu and Nuwa established the first trial, the Three Pure Ones built the second trial, and Pan Xuan created the third trial's Fengdu Illusion Realm.
  • The assembled gods prepared the Ghost Gate and assessment grounds, adding protections and safeguards for applicants.
  • Pan Xuan announced that anyone willing to serve the Netherworld could register, and cultivators from across the Primordial World rushed toward the Blood Sea.

Ch. 254The Five Ghost Emperors, the King Father of the East's Good Corpse

Pan Xuan opened the Netherworld’s Divine Offices selection, where applicants faced three trials testing Netherworld Law, fairness, and adaptability. As candidates advanced, five Primordial Origin Golden Immortals arrived to apply, and Pan Xuan recognized the central figure as the King Father of the East’s good corpse.

  • Pan Xuan began the open selection and established three trials to assess applicants for Netherworld Divine Offices.
  • Applicants entered the Netherworld Law formation, where some passed and others were expelled after failing to comprehend its laws.
  • Candidates faced the fairness trial, judging departed souls and soothing a vengeful ghost without abandoning impartiality; fewer than three in ten passed.
  • Five Primordial Origin Golden Immortals arrived at the Ghost Gate, drawing the attention of the assembled gods.
  • Pan Xuan recognized the central, earth-aligned applicant as the King Father of the East’s good corpse, sent to test the Divine Dao’s openness and seek cooperation.

Ch. 255Meng Po, the distrust Hong Jun faced

Pan Xuan appointed the Five Ghost Emperors and West Queen Mother’s Good Corpse as Meng Po, establishing the Netherworld’s regional Ghost Gates and its final step before reincarnation. The selection continued as applicants sought the remaining divine offices.

  • The five Primordial Origin Golden Immortals passed the trials, and Pan Xuan appointed them the Five Ghost Emperors to govern the Netherworld’s regions.
  • The Five Ghost Emperors took their posts, and their investiture established all five regional Ghost Gates alongside the main gate.
  • After other applicants failed to meet Meng Po’s requirements, West Queen Mother’s Good Corpse passed all three trials and received the office from Pan Xuan.
  • West Queen Mother’s Good Corpse began brewing Meng Po Soup at the Meng Po Pavilion beside the Naihe Bridge.
  • Applicants continued testing for the remaining Netherworld offices as Pan Xuan watched over the selection.

Ch. 256Completing the Netherworld's divine offices

Pan Xuan organized selections to fill the Netherworld’s vacant judicial and enforcement offices, establishing a system to process departed souls from judgment through reincarnation. The Ten Halls of Yama, Four Great Judges, seventy-five Merit Officers, and Ten Netherworld Marshals were appointed, while further selections remained to complete the Netherworld’s administration.

  • Pan Xuan outlined the Netherworld’s needed offices to the gods, and they agreed on a judicial system with the Ten Halls of Yama, four departments of judges, seventy-five record-keeping offices, marshals, guards, and lords of hell.
  • Pan Xuan announced the available offices to applicants who had passed the first two stages, then began the Yama selection using trial scenarios in the Fengdu Illusion Realm.
  • Pan Xuan selected ten applicants as the Ten Halls of Yama, and they took their places as the Hall of Judgment’s laws resonated with the Book of Life and Death.
  • Pan Xuan appointed four judges to oversee Rewarding Goodness, Netherworld Law, Punishing Evil, and Investigation.
  • Pan Xuan selected seventy-five Merit Officers to manage the Netherworld’s records and procedures.
  • The Ten Netherworld Marshals were introduced as the Netherworld’s enforcers, each leading ghost officers under Pan Xuan and Houtu.

Ch. 257Lord of the City of Wrongful Deaths, Minghe Creates Gods

The Netherworld filled its remaining offices as Minghe created the eighteen lords of hell and established the City of Wrongful Deaths. Pan Xuan declared the Netherworld’s system complete, with departed souls now governed by laws and divine officials from arrival through reincarnation.

  • Pan Xuan appointed the Ten Netherworld Marshals and selected generals, deputy generals, and more than ten thousand nether soldiers to guard the Ghost Gates and strategic locations.
  • Minghe used the Blood Sea Origin, Netherworld Law, karmic fire, and the Yuantu and Abi Swords to create eighteen lords of hell, each bound to one level of hell.
  • Minghe raised the City of Wrongful Deaths at the boundary of the Blood Sea and Netherworld to shelter souls who had died violently before their allotted lifespans ended.
  • The Netherworld’s officials began their duties as ghost officers guided wrongful-death souls into the city, marshals pursued escaped souls, and condemned souls were escorted toward hell.
  • Pan Xuan addressed the assembled gods and declared that every Netherworld divine office had been filled and every stage from the Ghost Gate to reincarnation now had laws and judges.

Ch. 258The Earthly Dao's Development and Merit

As the Netherworld’s divine offices cleared the backlog of departed souls, the Six Paths Reincarnation Disk accelerated and the Earthly Dao began to grow and bestow merit for the first time. The chapter ended with dark-gold merit flowers blessing Netherworld officials and the many divine beings who had helped establish and support reincarnation.

  • The Netherworld’s newly appointed officials took up their duties, and the Six Paths Reincarnation Disk processed departed souls with greatly improved efficiency.
  • The orderly operation of reincarnation strengthened the Earthly Dao, which released dark-gold merit flowers for the first time.
  • The Ten Halls of Yama, Four Great Judges, Merit Officers, Netherworld Marshals, Lords of Hell, and other officials received merit and gains in authority, cultivation, or ability.
  • Minghe received a substantial share of merit, strengthening his law deities and bringing his cultivation closer to the late stage of the Primordial Origin Golden Immortal realm.
  • Houtu, the Ancestral Witches, the Three Pure Ones, Ancestral Dragon, Yuanfeng, Primordial Qilin, Jieyin, Zhunti, Fuxi, Nuwa, Zhen Yuanzi, Hong Yun, and Randeng also received merit for their contributions to the Netherworld and its laws.

Ch. 259Di Jun's duty-bound karma

Di Jun discovered that his duty as Supreme Pure Yang to unite with the Taiyin Star’s supreme yin was the final requirement for attaining Sagehood. After Baize advised him to approach Changxi and Xihe as an equal fulfilling heaven’s mandate rather than as Heavenly Emperor seeking their allegiance, Di Jun prepared to visit the Taiyin Star.

  • While trying to unite his Three Corpses, Di Jun found that the River Diagram and Luo Book had revealed an unresolved duty-bound karma preventing him from attaining Sagehood.
  • Di Jun summoned Taiyi, Kunpeng, and Baize to explain that he had to unite with the supreme yin wielded by Changxi and Xihe.
  • Baize advised Di Jun to speak only of the shared duty of Supreme Pure Yang and the Lord of Taiyin, not the Heavenly Court or allegiance.
  • Di Jun accepted Baize’s advice, ordered Taiyi to accompany him, and left Kunpeng to oversee the Heavenly Court’s military affairs.

Ch. 260Changxi's Stance, the Red Embroidered Ball

Di Jun visited Changxi on the Taiyin Star to discuss fulfilling their complementary duties as Supreme Pure Yang and Lord of Taiyin, and Changxi agreed to their union while setting boundaries on her involvement in the Heavenly Court. Back on the Sun Star, Baize’s deduction revealed that Nuwa’s Red Embroidered Ball was required to certify their Heavenly Marriage.

  • Di Jun and Taiyi arrived at Guanghan Palace and explained to Changxi and Xihe that the union of supreme yin and yang was necessary to fulfill Di Jun’s karmic duty and advance his cultivation.
  • Changxi agreed to unite with Di Jun as long as she remained ruler of the Taiyin Star and stayed out of the Heavenly Court’s affairs and conflicts.
  • Di Jun accepted Changxi’s boundaries, and Xihe quietly acknowledged the karmic bond.
  • Di Jun returned to Lingxiao Treasure Hall and ordered Baize to use the River Diagram and Luo Book to deduce the Heavenly Marriage’s procedures.
  • Baize’s deduction pointed to Nuwa’s Red Embroidered Ball as the treasure needed to certify the Heavenly Marriage under the laws of Heaven and Earth.
