Song Wen walked to the head of the bed and looked down at Qiao Mengyu's lovely face. His divine sense extended outward, slowly entering the space between her brows.

Deep within her sea of consciousness, Qiao Mengyu's divine soul had curled into a pale cyan glow, so faint it was like the last candle flame in the wind, as if the slightest external force would cause it to collapse and scatter.
"How did her divine soul become so weak?" Song Wen asked as his divine sense withdrew from Qiao Mengyu's sea of consciousness.
"She cultivated the Second Divine Soul Technique, but something went wrong when she split her divine soul..." Bai Wei's voice was grief-stricken. As she spoke, she suddenly choked up, her throat bobbing several times before she continued, "You should be able to heal these injuries, right?"
