"Extreme Yin, that view is somewhat one-sided, but it isn't wrong," Gu Que said. "The Heavenly Dao is boundless, and all things in this world are merely straw dogs before it. Why would it care whether any particular living being lives or dies?"
Song Wen, however, was unconvinced.

He did not continue discussing the Heavenly Tribulation with Gu Que, nor did he mention to Ying Wu that the Void Demon Clan and the Nether Fox did not need to undergo tribulation. Instead, he asked Ying Wu a question.
"Ying Wu, how did you awaken the Nether Fox?"
"Actually, I had no confidence that I could awaken the Nether Fox," Ying Wu said. "I merely decided to give it a try. I summoned the Void Dragon Vine and had it convert spiritual energy into Origin Qi for the Nether Fox to absorb. After that, the Nether Fox woke up."
