Xi Ling coldly watched Song Wen draw closer, no longer pursuing the matter of Tai He.

"How did you get here?" Xi Ling asked, her tone carrying a trace of interrogation.

"You passed through the fog? And you didn't encounter any monsters?" Xi Ling was somewhat startled.

"Just now, I clearly heard faint sounds of fighting from below the mountain. Wasn't that you fighting the monsters in the fog?" Xi Ling asked.
Song Wen's figure paused slightly before he slowly came to a stop.
Xi Ling had actually heard the sounds of battle!
Yet there were no more sounds of battle now.
That meant the fight had ended, and Gou Jun's group could come up at any moment.
It was likely impossible for him to get rid of Xi Ling.
After all, if Gou Jun and the others saw Xi Ling, they would certainly question her. They would not let Song Wen kill her so easily.
Song Wen silently ceased using the Soul-Concentrating Spike, and also abandoned the idea of taking out the Soul-Splitting Blade.
