After talking with Aisha and Winston, Anton left the Continental Hotel and returned to the Daily Bugle.

"Anton, are you all right?"

Betty had been waiting for Anton at the entrance, her face full of anxiety. She had already decided that if Anton did not show up for a long time, she would call the police immediately.

When Anton had gotten out of the car earlier, something had seemed off about him.

Thinking back on it afterward, Betty was certain that the black car coming toward them and trailing their van had been up to no good.

"Of course I'm fine."

Anton smiled and waved it off. "Betty, don't worry about me. You should be worrying about someone else." He paused. "Where's Eddie?"

"In the office."

Betty pointed to the room behind her.

Creak—

Anton pushed open the door and saw Eddie going through some documents.

"Anton, you're back."

Eddie was not surprised to see him. Smiling, he said, "Today's paper sold well, better than expected. I'm sure you'll double my bonus."

"If you hadn't gotten those photos of Batman because I told you to, I would have." Anton shrugged, then sat across from Eddie. "You should know I caught someone called Bullseye."

"Yes."

Eddie nodded. "As far as I know, this Bullseye has powerful backing."

"He works for Kingpin."

"Kingpin? The king of Hell's Kitchen?" Eddie pondered for a moment. "To be honest, I don't know much about him. But when I was a reporter in New York, I met plenty of people from Hell's Kitchen. They all spoke of Kingpin with great fear."

"Then you probably don't know that Kingpin's real name is Wilson Fisk," Anton said.

"That real estate and energy tycoon?"

Eddie was genuinely shocked. "He's the underground emperor of New York, even all of America? That's really unexpected."

Anton folded his arms. "You know the situation. Batman caught Bullseye and offended Kingpin. So now, our target is Fisk Company. We need to gather evidence of Kingpin's crimes as quickly as possible and send him to the prison best suited for him. That's what we do next."

"Understood."

Eddie immediately said, "I'll start investigating Fisk Company right away. The moment I find anything, I'll notify you."

"Good." Anton nodded in satisfaction.

After work, Anton and Eddie found a place for drinks, only parting ways late that night.

Eddie went to seek out his old contacts in New York, preparing to investigate Kingpin's crimes.

Anton headed toward his destination not far away.

Hell's Kitchen.

Though it consisted of only eight small streets, its evil was likely worse than that of eight Satans combined.

Especially at night, Hell's Kitchen was filled with people from every walk of life.

It was paradise for scum.

Setting aside the Rabbit Armor's actions last night, this was Anton's first time officially setting foot in this place steeped in crime and packed with gangs.

He looked around, as though he could smell the lingering scents of alcohol and weed everywhere in the air.

Of course, his goal was not to clean up this place, but to find someone.

The blind lawyer was very famous in Hell's Kitchen.

Many people knew of him.

A universally acknowledged good man.

As Anton considered this, he stood watch at the intersection, observing the passing traffic as he waited for a long time.

Finally, a man wearing sunglasses and using a white cane approached from the intersection.

Tap, tap, tap, tap!

The blind man in sunglasses tapped his cane as he walked slowly forward. Anton followed behind him step by step, looking exactly like a stalker.

Except he was stalking not a woman, but a man!

That sounded even more perverted!

When the two turned one after the other into a dark, narrow, deserted alley—

Whoosh!

A fierce gust of wind struck at Anton as he entered the alley.

Anton shifted his feet, dodging the cane swinging toward his head. He then stepped forward, forcing back the blind man before him, and drove his already-prepared fist upward into the blind man's chest.

Thud, thud, thud!

The blind man staggered back several steps uncontrollably, sharp pain surging through his chest.

Though he could not see, all his attention was fixed on the enemy in front of him.

The blind man could tell that the person before him was a man, a young man at that, but one with formidable skills.

"Who are you? You don't belong here."

The blind man asked in a low voice.

He had lived in Hell's Kitchen since childhood and was certain that he had never met the person before him. He could even vaguely sense that this enemy was not from Hell's Kitchen.

"Daredevil, nice to meet you."

To his surprise, this young man immediately spoke the identity he had kept hidden for so long.

Then the kid's next words left him completely stunned.

"I'm Batman. I remember the Batman novel was released in Braille too. If you know its contents, you can call me Bruce Wayne."

Anton looked at the blind man before him and smiled as if he had met one of his own kind.

Their brief exchange had given him a rough impression of the blind man's combat ability.

In a sense, Daredevil was an ascetic much like Bruce Wayne, someone who had broken past the limits of the human body.

"Batman?"

The blind man was a little dazed. He had not expected that answer.

Batman.

The man who had swept through the Continental Hotel immediately after making his debut, dealt with the Life Foundation in San Francisco, and even made Kingpin suffer a major loss was standing before him so easily.

"How do I know you're not lying to me?"

The blind man could hear that Anton's heartbeat was normal, with no sign of deception. Yet his many experiences as a lawyer had taught him that prepared lies could deliberately conceal the usual reactions, so he did not dare trust a stranger so casually.

Snap!

Anton snapped his fingers and transformed. Armor suddenly appeared over his body, and he smiled. "No one should be able to imitate an entrance like this, right?"

"Batman, it really is you."

The blind man was greatly shocked.

As a child, he had been blinded after being exposed to radioactive material spilled from a truck. Yet this unexpectedly enhanced his other senses, granting him the superpower of "super senses." Because of his father's death and his childhood experiences, he had become a powerful fighter.

His super senses were extraordinarily potent. Most importantly, through the vibrations of sound, they formed a radar-like mental map in his mind, allowing him to detect changes in the outside world.

That was why Anton's transformation shocked him so deeply. Muttering to himself, he asked in an uncertain tone, "How did you find me?"

Anton answered frankly, "There's only one blind lawyer in Hell's Kitchen: Matt Murdock. You weren't hard to find."

"If you could uncover my identity, then finding me indeed wouldn't be difficult."

Matt fell silent for a moment, then led the way as he spoke. "This isn't the place to talk. Come sit at my place, Batman."

"My pleasure."

The two entered a house with an extremely simple style of decoration, one after the other.

The house was very spacious, but it had everything it needed. A punching bag hung in the center, along with plenty of exercise equipment. It was clearly where Matt trained.

In addition, Anton immediately noticed that something was off about the layout. There should be a hidden room behind one of the walls, likely where Matt stored Daredevil's equipment.

"Batman, I don't understand why you came looking for me."

Matt poured Anton a glass of water as naturally as any normal person, then sat across from him with his cane in hand, his expression calm.

"You know, I made Kingpin suffer a major loss and sent Bullseye to the police station, so Kingpin will definitely retaliate against me. In fact, he has already started moving."

Anton was unhurried. Smiling, he got straight to the point with an invitation. "Before things get worse, I've decided to make the first move and send him to prison too. What do you say, Matt? Interested in joining our side?"
