Going Through the Motions

Barring any surprises, it would be going premium tomorrow.

It had been over a year since I last wrote a book. I wondered whether Qidian would still get those studio comments when a novel went premium at just over fifty thousand words.

They had really been popular back then, haha.

I personally really liked Battle Through the Heavens. I had been young when I read it, so the story had left a deep impression on me.

This time, in writing Alchemy God System, I mainly wanted to experience a different Battle Through the Heavens from an alchemist's perspective.

That was basically how fanfiction worked: you inserted a protagonist into the story, and through their own behavior and actions, influenced the original characters. Based on their personalities and such, they would make different choices, creating new stories through those collisions.

Whenever the original setting came up while writing, I would look back through the original text of Battle Through the Heavens and try my best to stay faithful to it.

However, I made some adjustments regarding pills. I had no choice but to change things. There was only so much to alchemy in the first place; if I did not subdivide and dig deeper into it, the satisfying parts would become too repetitive.

So if that leaves you dissatisfied, I hope you will go easy on me. This is all the skill I have. Otherwise, I would have gone and written an original novel.

Because it had been too long since I last wrote, and I was afraid this book would not earn me a living, I started another one at the same time.

But please rest assured, I would do my best to keep things balanced and not affect the plot of either book.

There was not much else to say. Different readers, different age groups, different perspectives, different mindsets—everyone's feelings were completely different, and everyone had different thoughts about Battle Through the Heavens.

I hoped Alchemy God System's story would find a group of readers who liked it.
