However, when the pink little beast saw Wu Chu and let out its first cry, it immediately sent the Chaos Thunder Beast beside them into a berserk rage.
Although the syllable of that cry was strange, Wu Chu could sense through his divine consciousness that it probably meant "Mom."
In other words, this newborn little beast had mistaken Wu Chu for its mother.
How could that not enrage the genuine beast mother beside them?
With an instant roar, storms swept through the surrounding chaos. Lightning flashed like sharp arrows piercing the heavens, illuminating the chaos around them.
That furious roar startled the little beast as well. Its little head shrank back inside, while lightning flickered from within the eggshell.
There was no doubt about it. This little beast was the offspring of the Chaos Thunder Beast before him.
Wu Chu turned and roared at the thunder beast, "What are you roaring for? You scared the child, don't you know that? If you frighten it into something wrong, will that be on you or me?"
The thunder beast froze at Wu Chu's roar. Perhaps thinking of its child, it withdrew the lightning spilling from its body. Yet the fury in its eyes remained completely undisguised, mixed with a hint of grievance.
It seemed to be saying: My own child actually recognizes a two-legged creature as its mother. This is infuriating!
Meanwhile, Wu Chu coaxed the little beast. "Child, don't be afraid. Come out! It won't hurt you. Look, what is this?"
As he spoke, Wu Chu took out a Ginseng Fruit and squeezed it hard. Drops of juice dripped into the eggshell and landed on the little beast's lips. The little beast stuck out its tongue and licked them, then its eyes brightened again. Raising its little head, it strained upward.
