To solve the Witch Clan's food problem—really, their preference for meat—Wu Chu proposed a whole series of projects, including livestock raising, breeding, and farming.
Livestock raising and breeding should be made artificial and expanded, rather than directly hunting down intelligent beings. Though highly intelligent beings possessed high cultivation and abundant energy, they were still living creatures with minds of their own. Killing too many of them could easily create conflicts and would not benefit the peace and stability of the Primordial World.
The Ancestral Witches and great witches also understood that Wu Chu's proposal was indeed for everyone's benefit. Though they were not afraid, if any witch among them truly came to harm, their relatives and friends would certainly be saddened.
The myriad races had yet to unite and remained scattered. The Witch Clan was powerful now, so no living being dared criticize them. But once the Heavenly Court united the myriad races, if they continued acting this way, the Heavenly Court would have no choice but to intervene. Otherwise, the myriad races would surely become divided.
When that happened, the Heavenly Court would be forced into war with the Witch Clan.
They also knew that once war began, the Primordial Land would inevitably be turned upside down. Then this Second Leader, who had vowed to maintain peace and stability in the Primordial World, would certainly be caught in a difficult position.
He had many friends in the Heavenly Court, and his elder sister and elder brother were there as well, yet one of his wives was an Ancestral Witch. If the two clans fell out, the one most troubled would surely be him.
Big Sister Houtu seemed to sense Wu Chu's concerns. She silently took his hand, as if offering him support.
