"Ah, this Plague Lord Hall is designed quite well—grand and serene, yet without losing the imposing air befitting the Plague Department!"
After stepping into the hall, Lu Chen looked around and nodded slightly. "Not bad. Very much to my liking."
He did not hurry to pay respects to the Plague Lord. Instead, he first walked over to the divine statue of the Plague-Wielding Young Lord.
The statue wore blue robes and had its hair bound up, a young man in the prime of youth. His clear brows and eyes carried an effortless grace; he was truly elegant and exceptionally handsome. Astonishingly, seven parts out of ten of his features resembled Lu Chen himself.
"Indeed—kind of handsome!"
Lu Chen looked the statue up and down for quite a while before returning to the Plague Lord Divine Statue and offering incense.
Before long, the statue glimmered with hazy blue light.
"Is all well?"
"Reporting to Master, all is well." Lu Chen cupped his hands.
"Speak. Why have you sought me out?"
The Plague Lord's words remained as concise as ever.
Lu Chen was in no rush. He would handle matters one at a time.
He first presented the heavenly treasures and earthly materials he had prepared.
The Plague Lord did not stand on ceremony, taking another quarter of them. Most were third- and fourth-grade spirit materials, however; he did not even touch more than a few fifth-grade ones.
Surprise appeared on Lu Chen's face. "Master, you are only taking these?"
"More than enough. These spirit materials are not needed for my plague path and are of little use. Keep the rest yourself."
The Plague Lord changed the subject. "I presume you have already met Lord God of Wealth."
"Yes."
"He must have already told you about the matter of the Stable Fodder
