Whether it was boring or not, Gu Chen didn't care. The Qiao Family had given him plenty of trouble in his previous life, after all. He'd deal with whatever came his way. What he cared more about was the news article he'd just seen in the Financial Daily. He planned to gather all the relevant information after work that evening.

Gu Chen glanced at Joanna and pointed to the glass of water on the table. "Are you going to throw it or not?"
"..." Joanna looked at her parents, utterly bewildered.
Mrs. Qiao was especially helpless. "Please don't joke around, Gu. Throwing water in a guest's face isn't the Qiao Family's way of welcoming people. I know you're angry right now. How about we sit down and talk things through?"
Yeah, right! Like I'd believe you!
As someone who'd been splashed in the face by Joanna in his previous life and then had Mrs. Qiao call security to throw him out, Gu Chen scoffed at her polite words. "If you're not going to throw it, fine. I'm in a hurry, so I'll be going."
Gu Chen figured he'd already asked the characters in the story over and over to follow the plot. They were the ones refusing to do so. So even if the plot rejected him later, the punishment probably wouldn't fall on him.
The three members of the Qiao Family watched Gu Chen leave with an air of regret. They couldn't help looking at one another in confusion.
After a long pause, Joanna turned to Gu Xiu and asked, "Is he really your brother?"
Gu Xiu hadn't expected Gu Chen to pull something like that. He nodded, still dazed.
"You two brothers are really different. But I suppose that makes sense,
