The rich, mellow aroma of coffee filled the office. Holding a cup, Gu Chen stood before the floor-to-ceiling window, watching the neon-lit nightscape outside.
Zhongli Sui walked over and stood beside Gu Chen. His gaze traced the faint reflection in the glass as he casually asked, "I asked you before whether you were interested in interning at Tiansui Capital. You said you weren't considering it then. What about now? Would you reconsider?"
Before Gu Chen could respond, Zhongli Sui added, "I just think we get along very well. If we could work together, it should be enjoyable."
"Unfortunately, time won't allow it." Gu Chen smiled as he politely declined. Investment companies strictly followed financial market opening and closing hours, as well as the working hours of relevant government departments. No matter where on Earth they were, weekends were absolutely not working days. Yet weekends were the only time Gu Chen had for part-time work. Besides, given his current capabilities, even if he truly joined Tiansui Capital, he might not be of much use.
Gu Chen smiled. He knew his own limits. Because of his unusual experiences, he knew every one of Tiansui Capital's investment projects inside and out. But that did not mean he possessed the trading skills to rival Zhongli Sui or Tiansui Capital's other senior partners. He probably could not play mind games with people that smart.
