Shen Qingling smiled.
"Get ready. We're leaving for Heaven Dou Royal Academy right away. I'll take you to a good academy. You don't have to stay at Notting Academy anymore."
It wasn't that Notting Academy was bad, but it really wasn't the right place for them to stay any longer. Tang San needed a better environment to cultivate in.
"You two, come inside with me!"
At Shen Qingling's command, the two youngsters followed him into the room.
Once inside, Shen Qingling took out the Storage Soul Tool containing five hundred Gold Soul Coins again and tossed it to Tang San.
Tang San hurriedly caught it.
"There are five hundred Gold Soul Coins in here. When we get to Heaven Dou City, buy yourself some good things."
Shen Qingling smiled as he sat down on the bed. It creaked.
This bed...
Shen Qingling pressed a hand to his forehead. It had nearly collapsed last night.
Tang San's Purple Demon Eyes had advanced to the Mustard Seed Realm. In fact, as soon as he entered the room, he'd noticed that the bed's four legs were unsteady and already showing signs of cracking. Just how wild had things gotten last night?
His teacher really had it rough. He should look for some Immortal Herbs that could help him last longer when doing that sort of thing. The Mysterious Heaven Treasure Record was sure to mention some.
"You two can go back." Shen Qingling yawned. "I'm going to find your Mistress and have a good talk with her."
"Yes, teacher."
Tang San understood. He took Xiao Wu back to the dormitory and began packing his things.
When Shen Qingling returned to the courtyard, he found Gu Yuena lying on a bench with her eyes closed, seemingly lost in thought.
"Na'er, what are you thinking about?" Shen Qingling walked over and asked curiously.
Gu Yuena slowly opened her eyes and smiled.
"Of course, I'm thinking about what to name our future children."
Shen Qingling's expression changed. He turned to make his escape.
"That's way too soon. I'll go see how Tang San and the others are doing with their packing."
Before he could finish, Gu Yuena gently caught him by the wrist. With a slight tug, she pulled him over to the bench. It was small, so they sat pressed together, shoulders touching, close enough to hear each other's breathing.
"Na'er, don't tease me. We're talking about serious things." Shen Qingling shifted away helplessly, but she slipped an arm around his waist and held him in place.
Gu Yuena giggled and leaned against his shoulder.
"How can I not tease you? Just look at me, your beautiful wife, keeping you company every day. Shouldn't you be happy?"
"I am happy." Shen Qingling sighed, his voice faint and weary. "It's just that my body can't keep up."
He grumbled inwardly. It had only been a few days, and he was already almost too worn out to get out of bed. By the time she had names picked out for their children, he probably wouldn't even be able to walk. No matter how powerful the Golden Dragon King Bloodline was, it couldn't withstand being drained day and night by the Silver Dragon King.
"Don't worry, dear." Gu Yuena lightly poked his chest with a fingertip, smiling. "If you really can't keep up, I'll cut back on the frequency one of these days."
Rather than feeling relieved, Shen Qingling's vision went dark. He knew Gu Yuena too well. She might say the right things, but then she'd turn around and take things even further.
Cut back on the frequency? At most, she'd let him rest an extra half-hour in between. She wouldn't hold back one bit when it came to wearing him out.
He could already see the rest of his life stretching out before him, filled with scenes of her clinging to him and getting up to mischief. There was no end in sight.
Seeing how utterly dejected he looked, Gu Yuena's eyes brimmed with even more amusement.
She had no intention of cutting back. She'd worked so hard to win her husband over; of course she wanted to be with him every day.
As for him complaining that he was tired? She could just feed him a couple more bowls of nourishing porridge. He recovered quickly, anyway.
If one bowl wasn't enough, she'd give him two. If two weren't enough, she'd give him three—until he was satisfied.
She'd pursued him for ten years. Shen Qingling owed her all this. Now she was simply getting what was fair.
Her husband really didn't know how lucky he was. One of these days, I'll get on top and ride him. Let's see if he still complains then.
Meanwhile, in Heaven Dou City, at the Crown Prince's Residence.
Qian Renxue sat in the study, staring at the memorials before her as she sank into thought. There wasn't the slightest news of Big Brother.
Why had he let her know about him at all? The most painful thing was being unable to find him.
Knowing that Big Brother had a wife had left her feeling a little dejected and sad, but she was happier than anything. At least they'd met again after ten years.
"Young mistress!" Porcupinefish Douluo pushed open the door and entered.
"What is it?" Qian Renxue glanced up.
Porcupinefish Douluo hesitated, but in the end he spoke.
"I've been gathering some information these past few days. The last time I saw Young Master Shen and the others, Young Master Shen said he'd be coming to Heaven Dou City later!"
At his words, the gloom in Qian Renxue's eyes suddenly lit up.
"Really?" Qian Renxue asked excitedly.
"Really."
Porcupinefish Douluo swallowed nervously. Of course it was a lie. He hadn't uncovered a single thing; he'd made the whole story up. He couldn't just stand by and watch his young mistress feel miserable.
As for whether Young Master Shen would come, he had no idea. It wasn't as if he could tell this well-intentioned lie and then have Young Master Shen appear in Heaven Dou City the very next moment.
If that happened, it would mean his words really had come true.
Qian Renxue nodded slowly, the gloom in her eyes vanishing. Her voice grew lighter, too.
"I understand. You may leave."
The dejection that had weighed on her for days lifted completely. She looked back at the memorials on her desk, but couldn't focus on them at all.
Her slender fingers unconsciously traced the edge of a page. Her thoughts were filled with Shen Qingling.
After ten years of longing, they had finally reunited. As long as she knew he would come to Heaven Dou City again, the long wait wouldn't be so hard to bear.
Porcupinefish Douluo bowed and withdrew, leaving Qian Renxue alone in the study.
She went into the inner room and opened the wardrobe. Inside were several neatly folded skirts she rarely wore.
Since she spent most of her time disguised as Xue Qinghe, she almost always wore the crown prince's usual attire. These skirts were ones she had secretly prepared for herself.
Her fingertips brushed over the soft fabric, and a quiet mixture of anxiety and anticipation stirred in her heart. Which one should she wear when they met? White was too plain, and pink was too girlish. A moon-white dress would be best—graceful without losing its poise. Big Brother would surely be amazed when he saw her.
She raised a hand in front of the bronze mirror and gently touched her brows and eyes. She had never considered herself less beautiful than anyone else. When they'd first met in Spirit City, Big Brother had even praised her looks.
At the thought, her lips curled upward. She was already picturing what their reunion would be like.
Would Big Brother feel surprised and happy to see her? Even a brief meeting would be enough to make her happy for a long time.
Meanwhile, in Notting City, Shen Qingling was ready to set out for Heaven Dou City.
"Teacher, I'm ready. We can leave now."
Tang San had finished packing and was ready to set off at any moment.
"Then let's go," Shen Qingling said.
Soon, the group left Notting Academy and headed for Heaven Dou City.
The group had left, but Yu Xiaogang was still pacing anxiously in his office. He'd planned to have Flender come with him to Notting Academy to recruit Tang San and Xiao Wu, but they'd gone and left already.
"No, no, this won't do. I absolutely can't stay at Notting Academy any longer. I have to leave right away."
Before you continue
