Background / History

Bei Bei first appears at a riverbank near the Star Dou Great Forest alongside Tang Ya, where the pair offer grilled fish and invite Yu Chen and Wang Dong'er to join the Tang Sect. When Yu Chen insults both Tang Ya and the declining Tang Sect, Bei Bei intervenes and demands an apology. His Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon martial soul is immediately suppressed by Yu Chen's higher-order dragon bloodline, forcing him to his knees without Yu Chen releasing a martial soul or soul power. 9 10

After Huo Yuhao is publicly defeated and humiliated by Yu Chen, Bei Bei leads the Shrek Preparatory Team in confronting him. He initially attempts to reason with Yu Chen and questions the need to humiliate a weaker student, but Yu Chen's provocation drives the team to challenge him to a group battle. 15 16

In the Great Soul Arena battle, Bei Bei leads Shrek's opening assault. Yu Chen blocks the entire team's attacks with one finger, then humiliates them further. Refusing to concede, Bei Bei orders Huo Yuhao to attempt a dangerous forced martial soul fusion with him. Their resulting Golden Road is consumed by Yu Chen's black flames; Bei Bei is severely injured, including catastrophic damage to his dragonized right arm. 20 23

Bei Bei later visits Huo Yuhao after the latter's sudden recovery, expressing concern that Huo Yuhao's abnormal increase in soul power may be unsafe. 30 31

Bei Bei initially presents himself as calm, courteous, and protective. He defends Tang Ya and the Tang Sect when Yu Chen insults them, but his first response to Yu Chen's later treatment of Huo Yuhao is an attempt at measured dialogue rather than immediate violence. 9 16

His restraint deteriorates under repeated humiliation. Yu Chen's contempt for Shrek, the defeat of his teammates, and Wang Dong'er's decision to stand with Yu Chen push him into anger and desperation. He nevertheless assumes a leadership role in Shrek's battle plan and is willing to risk a dangerous fusion skill rather than accept defeat. 18 19 21
