One glance was enough to rob Lu Da of the courage to resist. He stood there in silence, and soon Lu San's screams died away as well.
The scrawny little old man turned back and pointed at Lu San, who had fallen to the ground and was twitching. He looked sidelong at Lu Da. "He isn't the only one. The Seventh Elder has planted traps in both of you, too. If you want to live, get out there and find that boy. You can come back when you've found him. Hand him over, and we'll lift the restrictions."
When Lu Da still said nothing, the old man snapped, "Did you hear me, you fool?"
Seeing their third brother lying there like a dead dog, Lu Er was about to fight the man to the bitter end, but Lu Da caught his arm.
"Understood," Lu Da said stiffly.
He glanced at his third brother on the ground. At last, he understood why the others in the cave had not gathered together. Most sat in groups of one or two, each in a separate spot. They were all hostages held by the black-clad men.
Once Lu Da had pulled Lu Er out of the cave, Lu Er wrenched his hand free. "Big Brother! We might as well take them down with us."
"Bullshit," Lu Da snapped. "You saw what happened to Third Brother. That man didn't even release his Martial Soul. Charge at him, and you'll only get yourself killed."
Lu Er threw up his hands. "Then what are we supposed to do?"
Lu Da looked into the distance and smiled darkly. "He likes acting mysterious, doesn't he? Then we'll pin a big, ugly label on him."
Seeing how confident Lu Da was, Lu Er leaned closer. "What label?"
"Come with me,"
