The canyon before Jaghatai was not a natural formation, but the ruins of an Ork Titan factory. Corax and the Raven Guard had set their sights on this bustling war factory, slipping through the shadows to plant countless bombs.

The chain explosions in the Titan's arsenal and reactor chambers destroyed everything. No Ork could have survived such a wave of devastation. Only the Titan factory's enormous metal skeleton retained its original outline, slanting and curving toward the sky like a man's chest pried open, its ribs bent straight upward.

Jaghatai entered the ruins. Unrecovered metal wreckage and broken masonry left by the Orks lay everywhere. A little farther ahead was the ambush zone.

When he looked back, he found the Speed Freeks' formation in complete disarray. One racer had gone out of control and was tearing through the ranks, its fixed hull-mounted gun hammering away as though determined to empty every bullet in the shortest time possible.

In that brief span of time, more and more racers went out of control. Ten vehicles were evenly deployed among the Speed Freeks' convoy. Drifting left and right, firing wildly, they fit Jaghatai's impression of Orks as savage and brutish.

Yet there was order within the chaos. No matter how the ten vehicles maneuvered, they always kept a moderate distance from one another, able to reach the others with a single burst of speed.

To Jaghatai, the ten vehicles resembled a writhing giant python, slowly strangling the Speed Freeks to death.

He halted his warhorse and set down the rescued gunner. Then Jaghatai turned and rushed back. The gruesome traffic accident had left behind only flames and craters blasted by explosions. Some Orks with severed arms and legs struggled in their driver's seats, only causing themselves to bleed even more.
