Leman Russ casually rolled his wrists and watched as more knights surged in from every direction, surrounding him.
"You injured them. Even if you beg for mercy now, the crimes on your back are enough to earn you years of hard labor at the border!" a burly knight shouted at Leman Russ. He wielded a massive two-handed battle axe and wore a Baroque-style metal helmet adorned with a red crest.
Yet the man merely taunted him from afar without approaching. Clearly, he had sensed the enormous gap between their strength from the ease with which Leman Russ had defeated the other knights.
The commotion in the arena continued. Drones flying overhead began broadcasting Leman Russ's cold and proud figure, while some eager media outlets had already drafted promotional copy in that brief span of time. This was also the only way for Kazimierz citizens who had failed to buy tickets to learn what was happening inside the arena.

Uniform footsteps rang out as a gate opened, and the scattered security personnel in the arena finally received reinforcements from the knight orders.
Many knight orders had risen to prominence from this very arena, and all of them maintained close ties with the Commercial Union that controlled knight competitions behind the scenes. It would not have been much of an exaggeration to call them its mercenaries.
The Red-Clad Knight Order, clad in crimson robes, and the Feathered Knight Order, whose pointed helmets were decorated with feathers, were seeded contenders who had ranked among the top finishers in recent tournaments. Compared to old knight orders with glorious histories,
