"This planet is worthless." Scout Captain Anke kicked aside a chunk of pitch-black stone. It tumbled into a bottomless crevice, and no echo could be heard for a long while.

His brother Dovell placed a hand on his shoulder in consolation. "Don't think like that, my brother. This only proves that not every planet in the universe is filled with xenos that need killing and temples that need destroying. There are always places that are pure and untouched, waiting for the Imperium of Man to discover their value."

"But what value does this planet have? Even Orks can barely survive here. Did you see their fungal pits? It was my first time seeing fungal pits that small. We searched the entire planet and only killed a little over seventy Orks and two hundred Gretchin..." Rod grumbled in his deep voice, his temper somewhat short. Pulling out a metal detection rod as thick as a mortal's forearm from his waist, he continued, "And this planet's mineral content is astonishingly low! It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say it was kneaded entirely out of stone! I'm starting to suspect that the shell casings fired from our boltguns are the planet's only metal resource."

Rod's words made Captain Anke even more depressed. He kicked a few more stones down into the depths.

Dovell shot Rod a displeased glare, silently blaming him for having no sense of the mood. He knew Captain Anke was in a bad mood, yet he kept rubbing salt in the wound.

Rod scratched his head
