Za. Hagir
The largest city in the western Ork Federation, it sat beside a broad river, making it exceptionally convenient for transportation. Nearly every race living in the Ork Federation could be found in this one city.
Swift-running centaurs, immensely strong Minotaurs, snakefolk with venomous fangs, insectfolk clad in hard shells, and so on...
Under the constraints of order, the diverse races grew together, ultimately turning Za. Hagir into a city where cultures flourished. Viewed from the sky, districts marked by the architectural styles of their respective races divided the city into patches of different colors.
But that had been the case two weeks ago. When Leman Russ led the Imperium's forces to the edge of Za. Hagir, he discovered that the city had already gone completely mad.
Regardless of species or age, all of them had been infected by the parasites discovered by the Tech-priests. The city's population of over nine hundred thousand had become walking corpses that feared no death. They surged toward the Imperium's forces in a black tide. Even when their limbs were pierced through by gunfire, long, disgusting worms bound their shattered bodies back together.
Destroying these walking corpses was only the beginning. When a horribly disfigured parasite host died, an undead creature burst from its body the next second and continued charging at the Imperium's forces.
Was this battle to wipe out the city difficult?
The exceptionally tough walking corpses, which rose again after death, caused considerable trouble for the less well-trained and poorly armed Imperial conscripts. Several regiments were even wiped out after being surrounded.
These abhuman vermin parasitized by worms were surprisingly fast. The Tech-priests captured one alive and dissected it on the spot for study, only to discover that these parasites had no intention of keeping their hosts alive long enough
