The Night Lords were few in number. Sevatar quickly assembled the troops to follow Konrad Curze's lead. They flowed through the battlefield like a mass of shadows; Auspex could not track their position, and they offered no aid to the other Legions in battle.
But Sevatar thought that even if they exposed their position, the other Legions would not expect help from the Night Lords anyway, would they? After all, their Primarch was the mad Konrad Curze.
"We must move quickly and reach my brother before the worst happens!" Konrad Curze kept repeating beside Sevatar. It made Sevatar intensely curious. What had he seen in his visions to provoke such a fierce reaction?
Sevatar chose his words carefully, hoping to probe indirectly, but Konrad Curze keenly sensed what was on his mind. Considering that this enormous vehicle built for a Primarch held only the two of them, Konrad Curze told Sevatar some things that would have happened in the future.
