Skarbrand was like a cloth doll in Sanguinius's hands, torn to a miserable state. The Khorne daemon's constitution, which allowed him to survive even grievous wounds, had become a burden. Skarbrand howled in agony, and Khorne found himself admiring Sanguinius even more at the sight.
Soon, Skarbrand departed from the mortal world, vanishing in a burst of flame. Sanguinius was drenched in blood, his white wings looking as though they had been pulled from a pool of gore, thick droplets trickling down the ridges of his feathers.
"He's dead. Now it's you bastards' turn..."
Sanguinius stared at Seed of Destruction, Ang'grath, Skulltaker, and Ka'Bandha. Once they nervously swallowed, he suddenly flashed toward them.
"You think you can take on four by yourself? How arrogant!"
Even with Sanguinius appearing at his side, Seed of Destruction still shouted defiantly. He lashed his whip, whipping up a ring of fire in an attempt to force Sanguinius back.
Facing hellfire hot enough to melt metal, Sanguinius had no intention of dodging. His fist plunged straight into the flames.

Boom!
Seed of Destruction was sent flying, half his face smashed out of shape. Rotten flesh and molten metal mingled together, leaving him with none of his former majesty—only wretchedness.
What terrifying strength... What raging fury... Is this what it means to be favored by Lord Khorne?
Seed of Destruction thought this, but fortunately, Sanguinius had been angered beyond reason. If that punch failed to blow his head off, he could use its force to fly away and look for another opportunity.
Hehehe! Sanguinius, once I get away, I'll lash out with my whip and bind your arm so you can't break free!
