Zaro disliked humans. He believed they were far too weak, their lives burdened by a tangle of desires, until they ultimately squandered their days in a muddle and marched toward death.
Though that was what he thought, Zaro honestly admitted that he had become far too entangled with humans.
After all, the times had changed. The rules of the wolf packs' game to compete for the alpha wolf had changed with them. Instead of entering the fray themselves and fighting tooth and claw for their rank, they now supported their own fangs, who fought and battled in their stead.
The fangs fought one another while the Wolf Lords hid in the shadows. Though the battles were not as savage as before, their pace was more intense, and they had become far more entertaining.
Whenever he thought of how the Bellone Family he supported had become the strongest of Siracusa's Twelve Families, and how its head, Bernardo, was practically a max-level account—Elite 2 Level 90, max potential, max module, every skill at Mastery 3—Zaro could not help but give a soft snort.
