The T'au used battlesuits far more efficiently than humans. They could enter a state of unity with their machines more quickly.

According to Oedmeir's research, this was caused by the T'au's faster metabolism. One year of battlesuit experience for a T'au was equivalent to three, perhaps even five, years for a human.

Their lifespans were not long, though. If a human could live to one hundred, a T'au would only barely make it past fifty, perhaps even less.
