Everything happening before him felt like a beautiful dream bestowed by The Emperor. Rogal Dorn strolled through the swarm as if taking a leisurely walk, and not a single creature could last more than a second before him.

The swarms surrounding the planet were being purged inch by inch by the Big Canteen's main fleet. The shadows blotting out the sky were torn apart, and the brilliant radiance of energy weapons illuminated every blood-soaked inch of Macragge.

"Can you stand, Chapter Master Calgar?" The Black Templars' High Marshal Helbrecht appeared beside Calgar at some point. He administered a dose of medicine to Macragge's guardian, then helped him to his feet.

The pain in his body gradually faded, and Calgar's toxin-ravaged body returned to normal. His blood-producing and clotting organs began serving his flesh once more.

"For The Emperor." Helbrecht left Calgar with those words before leading the Black Templars closely behind Rogal Dorn.

For some reason, strange thoughts arose in Calgar's heart.
