One Primarch after another had been found, and more and more brothers could sit around The Emperor.
"My brothers, this is my mother. Once this meeting ends, I must return to Macragge immediately. Her birthday is in one month." Guilliman held a small photograph, showing Euten holding the young Guilliman in a warm embrace.
The cold Lion El'Jonson turned away, unwilling to look any longer. Angron's Butcher's Nails flared up again. Konrad Curze fell into epileptic madness, unable to control the jealousy in his heart. Mortarion could not stop coughing...
Konrad Curze was the first to strike in the meeting room. He lunged at Guilliman in a frenzy, trying to strangle him to death, but Vulkan smashed him to the ground with a hammer before he could succeed.
"Seriously, you should go meet Lady Oedmeir." Fulgrim reminded him once more, pulling Guilliman out of his flood of memories.
"I will. Once I have arranged everything on Macragge, I will go to the Big Canteen and pay a visit to Lady Oedmeir, who has earned such praise from all of you," Guilliman replied.
The days that followed were fairly peaceful. Macragge was rebuilt once again, and the Ultramar sector would grow even more prosperous under Guilliman's efficient administration.
The bureaucratic systems on some planets were unwilling to surrender their power. They submitted a great many reports and documents toward Terra, protesting the greed of the Ultramarines of Macragge.
However, the New Psyker Department had long since intercepted those crude psychic communications, keeping the situation in the Ultramar sector hidden from outsiders.
The planetary bureaucrats still did not know that the Primarch had returned, nor did they understand the prestige held by the lord of Ultramar ten thousand years
