Tap.
Lin Fan finally landed. He looked around and felt that it was much brighter here than outside.
This seemed to be a maze, a maze with no exit. The towering walls were incomparably smooth; if Lin Fan leaned close, he could clearly see his body's reflection.
Lin Fan rubbed his fists. He did not have the patience to explore a maze.
If there was no path, he would simply punch one open.
He aimed at the wall and was just about to throw a punch when that voice rang out again.
"Aren't you afraid?"
"You're really annoying." Lin Fan replied impatiently.
His fist smashed viciously into the wall. Cracks rapidly spread out from his knuckles, and the fissures revealed a lightless white, like fine white strokes drawn across a black canvas.
There were some familiar scenes within those white lines. Curious, Lin Fan reached out to touch them, and the next moment, he appeared in an unfamiliar world.
Shells filled the sky, tearing through the smoke and clouds again and again before leaving rising fireballs of explosions upon the ground.
The air was so scorching and suffocating that one more breath could choke a person to death.
Before him stood a massive hive city. Its towering steel walls were covered in firing ports and automated turrets. Beneath those walls lay heaps of mangled corpses and pulverized flesh, upon which mutated flies and insects feasted greedily.
Lin Fan was no stranger to scenes of war, but he was quite curious as to why he had come here.
"What exactly is this..."
Beep, beep, beep!
A sharp, drawn-out whistle interrupted Lin Fan's muttering. He turned around and discovered entire legions of Astra Militarum charging forward alongside heavy armor. It seemed their goal was to conquer the heavily armed fortress before them.
