This humiliation enraged the Red Scorpions warriors. They roared furiously and swung with all their strength at Lin Fan's body.
Lin Fan did not indulge them either. Amid the fragments of shattered chainswords, he swiftly tore off both of their jump packs.
The two Space Marines inevitably lost control, gouging a deep trench into the ground as they crashed. Dust and smoke obscured their condition.

Shattered armor and a ruined fist were predictable results. Lin Fan, however, showed no emotional reaction. For a Space Marine, this was nothing more than a flesh wound.
But something caught his attention.
Not only did the mangled fist bleed profusely, it also revealed faint white strands. Upon closer inspection, they looked exactly like the cracks in that smooth wall.
Lin Fan frowned thoughtfully and apologized to the Red Scorpions warrior beneath him.
"What?" Before the Red Scorpions warrior could react, Lin Fan crushed the fist of his other arm into pulp.
Flesh, bone, and blood were clenched together in Lin Fan's fist, impossible to distinguish. White threads pierced into Lin Fan's vision.
So this was all fake? A projection of some timeline?
Lin Fan had originally intended to split someone open for a look, but after glancing around at the highly alert Imperial soldiers, he could not bring himself to do it.
I should verify things inside the hive city instead. Lin Fan
