Lin Fan dragged Konrad Curze out of the portal and happened to see Jaghatai's busy back as he pulled up information in the command room.
With The Outsider's power greatly weakened, Jaghatai could finally make out the words on the console.
Hearing a rustle behind him, Jaghatai quietly gripped his sword hilt. The instant Lin Fan approached, he drew his blade, spun around, and slashed.
"Look at the good thing I brought back."
With a clang, the great blade struck the crystal sealing Konrad Curze within. The vibration made Curze close his eyes in pain.
Jaghatai stared blankly for a moment when he saw Curze's face, then frowned, his expression plainly showing confusion and disgust.
Few people liked Curze. Not even Curze himself liked him.

"Was everything here caused by him? I don't think this brother of mine has that kind of talent." Jaghatai lightly tapped the crystal twice.
"It was actually a C'tan, but I've already crushed it flat. There shouldn't be any major trouble along the T'au Empire's border now."
"A C'tan... heh..." Jaghatai shook his head with a bitter smile. "Without you, how many people would the Imperium have to lose before it could make a C'tan retreat?"
Lin Fan thought about it. Given the way The Outsider had displayed such reality-warping properties from so far away, the Imperial Navy would probably be wiped out before it even got halfway there.
"Maybe they could only rely on The Emperor's blessing, faith, or some kind of burst of inner cosmos to smash the C'tan apart."
"A burst of inner cosmos?"
"An ancient Terran slang term for when someone's potential is suddenly unleashed."
"Interesting." Jaghatai committed the phrase to memory, then continued asking about Curze in the crystal.
The Eagle of Chogoris looked at him
