A rift specifically for summoning warships?
Talina was dumbfounded. She looked at the distant warships, then at the blood pool she was standing in. This was the first time she had ever seen something like this.
Impossible, right? How could such a tiny hole contain something so enormous? And there was more than one of them. If they all rushed in impatiently, this portal would definitely break, wouldn't it?
Talina shook herself, temporarily throwing off the bizarre thoughts unique to Slaanesh daemons. Then her tentacles sank into the blood pool and began the simple process of absorbing, filtering, and expelling. Khorne had never liked blood that was overly impure and contaminated.
Before long, the scarlet blood pool began to take on a milky whiteness. Seeing this, Kor'sarro Khan led the White Scars in desperately holding back the mutated creatures closing in.
The approaching warships also noticed Talina's interference. Several ships slowed down and trained their guns on her. Countless slaves hurried into action, dragging macro cannon shells with scorching crimson casings into the barrels.
The macro cannons fired. Their shells hurtled toward Talina amid brilliant flames and crimson gore, followed closely by boarding torpedoes packed with warriors.
After making a quick calculation, Talina realized she could not completely seal the portal before the shells arrived. At the last moment, she let out a deep breath. Her entire body shriveled as though dehydrated, then she suddenly inhaled, forcibly sucking away nearly half the murky blood pool.
Enduring the discomfort of being filled with blood, Talina leaped from the pool and called for Kor'sarro to retreat at once.
"Retreat?" Kor'sarro slaughtered enemies from atop his bike, whose thick tires were even coated in a sticky mixture of blood and flesh. "Did you seal the portal?"
