A massive bell rested quietly on its living metal pedestal, surrounded by a great many historically valuable artifacts.
The green cold light that had remained unchanged for ten thousand years shone upon these collections. Canoptek Scarabs silently inspected and maintained the energy conduits. According to the residual instructions left in their memory cores, they could continue working like this for tens of millions of years.
Suddenly, the massive bell sealed within a stasis field trembled. Its movement left the Canoptek Scarabs responsible for maintenance deeply puzzled. No living or dead object sealed within a stasis field should have displayed such abnormal activity.
The bell's chime drifted outward. It was neither ancient nor melodious, but exceptionally violent. Sound waves battered the silent hall like crashing tides, penetrating deep into the energy conduits and condensation pipes and causing considerable damage.
The artifacts swayed wildly under the sonic assault, toppling onto the spotless Blackstone floor.
Trazyn's consciousness was urgently transferred into a spare body within a sarcophagus in the gallery. The moment he entered it, he roared furiously, "By the Dead Gods! What happened here?!"
The massive bell shook even harder at Trazyn's arrival. The sounds of artifacts falling and shattering blended together into a vague message.
After a simple extraction and analysis, Trazyn obtained a single sentence.
"Go check on Agrippina."
"Bullshit!" Trazyn shouted at the void, raising his middle finger. "You smashed up my museum just to send a message? What about compensation?"
There was no response. The bell gradually fell silent, and Trazyn stared at the mess covering the gallery floor, wordlessly covering his face with one hand. His mind was full of curses directed at The Emperor.
Once the matter on Cadia is settled, if I don't pry a brick off your Golden Throne, then my name isn't Trazyn.
