"Do you know who's boss now?" Lin Fan beat a huge, muscular daemon to its knees. The daemon had once possessed a hundred arms, each gripping countless sharp weapons, but now every weapon had shattered against Lin Fan's body, and all hundred arms had been cleanly severed by his bayonet.

"Sorry! I was wrong!" The daemon begged Lin Fan for mercy. He had been the undisputed king of this small region, yet now he could only plead with Lin Fan for a chance to live.

Seeing the lesser daemons and cult fanatics around them starting to stir, Lin Fan hurled the casing of a miniature nuclear bomb. The tremendous impact tore apart dozens of tall buildings, sending the lesser daemons and cultists scattering in every direction.

"Alright, now it's just you and me." Lin Fan gripped the daemon's head. "Tell me where Corax is, and then you can get back to your life."

"What? Raven Storm?" The daemon was so frightened by the name that it barely dared breathe. It struggled violently in Lin Fan's grasp. "You can't do this! We've only had a few years of peaceful living!"

As it spoke, the daemon squeezed out a few tears of blood, hoping to win Lin Fan's pity. But Lin Fan had long since become numb to this sort of emotional display from daemons. During the fifty years he had wandered with Leman Russ and Diego, those two often raided daemon villages, burning, killing, and looting.

Lin Fan had watched from the side, listening to daemons large and small wail and beg beneath Leman Russ and Diego's hands. It looked just like ancient bandits and routed soldiers pillaging helpless villagers.
