Delia and Kaos had made a laser gun fitted with a new muzzle. As for the targets, they were the two Orks they had captured.
"You've got quite a lot of captive Orks here. What exactly do you usually do?" General Westad looked at Yarrick's face. He was convinced it was fortunate that he had come instead of those Inquisitors or those lunatic Battle Sisters.
Otherwise, Yarrick's imprisonment of so many Orks would definitely have drawn trouble from those people who suspected everything.
"Ahem... For victory, every available means must be used, including learning the Ork language."
"All right. Do you think it's useful after learning it?"
"A little... but not much. Ork thought processes are far too chaotic. One second they're thinking about chopping off your head, and the next they're thinking about going back to eat some mushrooms..."
While the two chatted, Lin Fan held two guns, preparing to conduct an experiment. One had the special muzzle fitted to it, while the other was an ordinary standard-issue laser gun.
Two Orks were tied up a hundred meters away from him. Several pieces of standard bulletproof armor had been nailed onto them to simulate the protective effect of the Orks' ramshackle armor.
Why a hundred meters? Ork firepower generally had no accuracy to speak of, and the farther away they were, the worse their aim became. If an Ork charging at you from several hundred meters away blew your head off with one shot, then you ought to consider whether you had done something so bad that even The Emperor had taken a dislike to you.
As for the Big Shoota Orks and Gretchins firing from even farther away, their guns were mixed in with so much junk that they were practically humanoid armored units.
