Wipe out these monsters that destroyed T'au!
The Avengers burned with rage. They would avenge the people of the planet.
But such overwhelming hatred meant nothing to the Destroyer. All it had to do was purge every living thing as quickly as possible.
First, conquer the skies.
Its body, which had originally hovered half a meter above the ground, shot straight into the sky. Its gauss cannon locked onto the bombers and heavy fighters overhead. Green disintegration beams struck the aircrafts' high-energy shields, but did not immediately destroy the T'au vessels.
Gauss weapons required matter to inflict maximum damage. Against pure energy constructs, their destructive power was significantly weaker.
It adjusted the gauss weapon's output and aimed its muzzle at the ground units. Gauss beams fired like a net, covering the T'au troops shooting into the air.
The Destroyer moved at speeds far beyond those of T'au aircraft, extending its claw-like hands. Those sturdy armored hulls offered no defense whatsoever before its claws. Entire ships were sliced in two, or simply smashed apart by the Destroyer's charge.
"Ah!" A Fire Warrior struck by a stray, hair-thin gauss beam screamed. His knee had been pierced by a hole no larger than a needlepoint, while the flesh around the wound slowly began to disintegrate.
He felt his leg being stripped away layer by layer. The magnetic field generated by the gauss weapon not only destroyed chemical bonds at the subatomic level, but also interacted with an opposing magnetic charge, supplying ceaseless power for continued destruction.
The warrior struggled in agony. He felt his skin and muscles being drawn into the wound, his flesh slipping away grain by grain like sand. Steam rose from the gauss wound, leaving layer upon layer of dust on the ground.
The agony lasted a full three hours.
