These pixelated heaps with no discernible shape made Deleter Rotaros struggle to imagine that this was the entire fleet of the Executioner Dynasty.
The colossal pyramid ships that once blotted out the sky and possessed enough gravity to pull planets from their orbits were now gathered within Bennis's black-and-white blocks that vaguely resembled hands.
"Is that it?" Rotaros wanted to ask the Bennis Archmagos, but obediently kept his mouth shut. He chose to trust the professional's experience.
"Remember to use erroneous rules sparingly. The universe can't withstand us ravaging it like this anymore..."
Bennis Archmagos sighed, then looked at the sullen Inamars Archmagos, who had been standing on tiptoe all along.
"So, what enemies did you encounter?"
"We ran into a huge idiot who was playing with the Creator's words! And he was in league with the God of Death!" Inamars waved his hands angrily. "Not to mention, he dug up the grave of an Enslaver progenitor! Maybe he got his hands on something else!"
"An Enslaver progenitor?" Bennis exclaimed in surprise. These Warp creatures possessed unimaginable psychic control abilities and had been born amid the currents of the Warp.
No one knew whether the War in Heaven had birthed these creatures, or whether they had always lurked within that world of souls. The Necrontyr only knew that Enslavers could control everything.
They controlled everything in the literal sense. To an Enslaver, there was no distinction between objects with souls and those without. Their control resembled a conceptual force more than anything else.
Anything clearly defined, separated from its surroundings, and existing as an individual entity could be manipulated by an Enslaver's power.
