"Phew..." Perturabo let out a deep breath, so furious that his head swam and every inch of the metal-flesh composite body ached unbearably.
He turned his gaze inside the ship and watched the Centurion bathe in the Iron Bone Guard's firepower.
"Wait... something isn't right... Where is this Centurion's weapon? Dorn was not someone fond of melee combat, and that armor..."
That Centurion armor was solid! It had no servo systems! No automatic loading systems! Like the armor worn by knights in ancient times, it relied entirely on physical strength to support it.
"This isn't Dorn... He's deceiving me, but his personality and manner of speaking..." Perturabo was confused. For a moment, he doubted his own judgment.
No matter what, he would have the Iron Bone Guard capture this Centurion who was suspected of being Dorn first.
Answering their creator's command, the Iron Bone Guard aimed the weapons mounted on their bodies at Lin Fan inside the Centurion armor.
These Iron Bone Guards did not possess human appearances. Instead, atop eight-legged bases stood upper bodies fitted with turrets and missile pods.
"Mission objective: capture."
The cold mechanical voices echoed beside Lin Fan's ears as a barrage of heavy armor-piercing rounds flew toward him. Lin Fan nimbly dodged the Iron Bone Guard's sweeping fire.
"Your standards for 'capture' are pretty interesting." Grumbling inwardly, Lin Fan activated the spatial pocket Oedmeir had made for him and pulled out a massive, heavy hammer.
Big Hammer Eighty had received another upgrade at Oedmeir's hands. Now, the head of this enormous hammer could fire like a gun.
As for why a hammer could function as a gun without looking like one, Oedmeir had explained it to Lin Fan this way.
"You don't get tired. Whatever shape the gun takes won't interfere with your ability to
