"This is more like it! You harmful plant!" Headquarters let out a delighted shriek.
The plant grew enormous hive-shaped clusters, releasing bees, flies, and other insects capable of pollinating it. Carrying hatred for technology, the insects swarmed through the air, forming cluster after cluster of black clouds.
Headquarters raised a hand and created nanobots known as Blood Tide. His company had once used these nanobots to devour many rebels unwilling to accept corporate management.
Blood Tide would flow over inch by inch, enter the victim's bloodstream, and make them pump out more blood from the inside out.
Though it was essentially a nanoscale medical device, something skilled at saving lives was equally skilled at taking them. A scalpel used to cut flesh had more than one function.
The newly created Blood Tide gathered into a humanoid form. It had a silver-white, luminous metallic outer layer, a face of cold rationality, and blood-red eyes that conveyed depth and solidity.
Shallow waves continuously surged from the top of its head, like water gushing from a fountain.
Its body bore neither male nor female traits, nor did its face appear young or old.
"Uh... why do we have to fight again... I'm sick of killing..." Blood Tide's voice was impossible to identify as male or female.
"Oh, believe me, this is the last time."
Hearing Headquarters' voice, Blood Tide sighed and turned into a sea of blood that filled the sky, colliding with the cloudlike swarm of insects. The two forces tangled and eroded one another, but Blood Tide could not obtain usable blood from these Warp-born lifeforms.
Thus, increasing its numbers became little more than wishful thinking.
"This won't do..." Headquarters watched the twisted plant rising again and created a new weapon.
A void research station took shape in his hand. He
