Director's Cut: Secret Invasion

The Skrulls first appeared in the movie universe in 1995. While fighting the Kree, they had chased Captain Marvel all the way to Earth.

Their homeland had been destroyed by the Kree's genocidal war. Later, most of the Skrulls left Earth with Captain Marvel and their leader Talos, heading into space in search of a new home.

After sending Charles and Logan back to Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters, Qin Yi returned to Howard Estate.

Inside the bedroom

Qin Yi pulled up the information Captain Marvel Carol had sent him from his Ikong tablet.

After being defeated by Qin Yi in 1995, Carol had worked hard to improve herself. Every two years, she would return to Earth on schedule to challenge Qin Yi.

Even though Carol had always been beaten senseless, she had never missed their two-year appointment. Every time she got beaten up, she would eagerly arrange the next match.

From Carol, Qin Yi learned that another group of Skrulls was hiding on Earth. Perhaps weary of the war with the Kree, they had not all followed Captain Marvel into space back then.

This group of Skrulls had merely stayed on Earth to live peacefully and had done nothing to endanger Earth's safety, which was why Carol had never acted against them.

With someone as powerful as Qin Yi constantly on Earth, Carol did not think they could cause much trouble. She merely told Qin Yi to keep an eye on the hidden Skrulls.

But as a transmigrator, Qin Yi knew that these Skrulls had been hiding on Earth and plotting for decades.

After the Avengers' final battle against Thanos, with Iron Man and Captain America gone and the remaining superheroes fighting separately, the Avengers were on the verge of falling apart.

Those hidden bastards launched a war known as Secret Invasion.

Although these Skrulls had not yet done anything to threaten Earth's safety, the fact that they had such thoughts was unacceptable.

And the Skrulls' shapeshifting ability was practically impossible to counter. Aside from mutants like Charles and his senior sister Phoenix, who could read thoughts directly from people's minds at any time,

No one else, not even superheroes, could tell Skrulls apart from humans. Their shapeshifting might not be particularly powerful in combat, but the crisis of trust and the disasters it would cause afterward might be even more terrifying than war.

Just imagine it: the teammate who had been standing beside you and fighting alongside you moments ago suddenly stabbed you in the kidney.

If even the commanders directing the battle were on the enemy's side, how the hell could the war be fought?

By then, there would be no secrets left on Earth for the Skrulls.

Even if the superheroes wanted to fight back, how were they supposed to do it when they did not know who was a teammate and who was the enemy?

Qin Yi also did not want Wanda, whom he was holding in his arms one day, to suddenly turn into a green-skinned monster. Of course, with Qin Yi possessing the Fairy Force, the odds of that happening were basically zero.

Still, it was fucking disgusting. The Skrulls on Earth had to be eliminated. That ability could only be in his hands.

In the comics, the crisis had been resolved only after Mister Fantastic Reed created a machine that forced the Skrulls to reveal their true forms.

But at this point in time, Qin Yi had no time to go looking for Mister Fantastic Reed.

What he could not understand was how such badass Skrulls had been chased around and beaten by the Kree. The next time Carol returned, he needed to follow her to the Kree homeworld and take a look.

Using the information Carol had sent over, Qin Yi found a small hidden Skrull group.

If he had not read their thoughts, Qin Yi truly would not have discovered those perfectly concealed Skrulls.

After controlling all of their minds, Qin Yi headed toward where their leader—Super-Skrull—was hiding.

Washington

In a luxurious villa complex, most of the residents were upper-class political and business figures from the United States.

"This old bastard really knows how to enjoy himself."

Qin Yi raised a hand. The Mirror Dimension he deployed completely enveloped one of the villas. He casually set up several magic arrays to ensure that no one inside could escape.

As space rippled, Qin Yi appeared in Super-Skrull's room.

Lying before his computer with headphones on, completely engrossed in a game, Super-Skrull seemed not to have noticed that someone had suddenly appeared in the room.

Qin Yi awkwardly rubbed his nose.

"Hey, green-skinned freak."

The instant Super-Skrull heard the sound and looked up, he tore off his headphones, pulled a pistol from a drawer, and aimed it at Qin Yi.

"Who are you? You trespassed into a private residence. I can shoot you dead."

Qin Yi froze upon hearing that. Had these guys played their roles for so long that they had started to adopt Earth's way of thinking?

"Stop pretending, Super-Skrull."

Upon hearing that, Super-Skrull, who had taken the form of a young man, emptied an entire magazine at him.

With a wave of his hand, Qin Yi used magic to bind Super-Skrull. After brushing off the clothes struck by bullets, he began considering how to deal with this guy.

It was said that Super-Skrulls could even copy the abilities of the people they imitated. Should he directly control this guy's mind, or just kill him?

He wondered whether Earth's witchcraft worked on Skrulls. Why not give it a try?

Qin Yi immediately took out a large amount of materials from his magical space and arranged them around the bound Super-Skrull. Ignoring the man's terrified gaze, Qin Yi began chanting an incantation.

As the obscure, harsh chant came to an end, Super-Skrull's eyes gradually turned clouded. He lowered his head toward Qin Yi.

"Master."

Holy shit, it actually worked. Qin Yi stroked his chin.

"Then from now on, anyone who pisses me off will be turned into my subordinate. Super-Skrull is too much of a mouthful. From now on, your name is A-San."

"Yes, Master. A-San understands."

Now that the leader of this Skrull group had been dealt with, the plan could begin.

"A-San, summon the rest of the hidden Skrulls."

After giving A-San his instructions, Qin Yi used magic to conceal his traces, then sat quietly on the windowsill and waited.

A day later

All kinds of people gathered in the villa's underground hall from across the United States. Qin Yi roughly counted them. Fuck, there were more than a hundred Skrulls.

"A-San, are they all here?"

"Master, two of them have urgent matters and cannot make it today."

With a wave of Qin Yi's hand, the Mirror Dimension instantly enclosed the entire villa. Terrifying spiritual power spread in every direction, and in less than a moment, every Skrull in the underground hall had their mind controlled. More than a hundred of them stood in the hall with vacant eyes.

This should do it.

Next, it was time to find the President of the United States.

Holy shit, I almost forgot about this. Qin Yi slapped his forehead. With a ripple of space, he vanished from the underground hall and arrived at the place where Magneto was imprisoned.

When he had trapped old Magneto in the Mirror Dimension last time, Qin Yi remembered the three Doctor Stranges who had nearly starved to death in the Zombie Universe.

To prevent old Magneto from suffering the same tragic experience, Qin Yi had sealed his powers with magic and locked him in the basement of Bucky's house.

After starving for a day and a half, Magneto looked at Qin Yi, who had suddenly appeared, with an indescribable emotion in his eyes.

Qin Yi truly could not stand that look, so he took food out of his magical space and said to old Magneto,

"How about eating something first? I figure I can settle this in about two more days."

Magneto took the food without saying anything and silently began eating.

Ten minutes later

Qin Yi chopped the fully fed Magneto across the neck, knocking old Magneto unconscious again.

Dragging the unconscious old Magneto along, he teleported back to A-San's underground hall. The moment he stepped out of the spatial vortex, Qin Yi's vision went black, and he collapsed to the ground.

After recovering for a moment, he cast several Healing Spells on himself.

Qin Yi sat on the ground as a panel appeared in his mind.

Fuck, it had only been a few days, yet his hunger level had risen by 5%. Could it be because he had been using his abilities too frequently lately? Qin Yi took food from his magical space while considering countermeasures.

"Once I finish dealing with the mutants, I'm just going to lie in bed and not move. When the hell will this damn hunger end?"

After gnawing through several lamb legs, Qin Yi sat on the ground and pointed at the more than one hundred Skrulls standing blankly in place.

"You there. Yeah, you. Come over. Turn into his appearance."

Upon hearing that, the green-haired Skrull who approached circled Magneto several times. His body slowly shifted, and in less than half a minute, he had completely transformed into the unconscious Magneto lying on the ground.

But why did that face look so dull? Qin Yi rubbed his chin, rose to his feet, and began instructing the Skrull wearing Magneto's appearance on facial expression management.

"Put more arrogance on your face. Right, lift your chin. Don't look at people straight on. Right, right, look at others with your head raised like that. Make your eyes more disdainful. Right, right, just like that... Don't fucking look at me like that."

Qin Yi kicked the guy in the ass, ignoring his aggrieved expression.

"From now on, whenever you turn into this person, use that expression on everyone except me. Understand?"

The guy nodded as though he half understood, then stood to the side and began practicing old Magneto's expressions.

After rubbing his chin in thought, Qin Yi made arrangements for several Skrulls standing in the front row.

"A-San, come on. I'll take you to meet the President."
