Kratos contacted Archimonde, the ruling sage, through a servo-skull and urgently asked, "Ruling Sage Archimonde, you still have some powerful trump cards you haven't used, don't you? Right now, our only chance of victory is to help the Astartes Space Marines get close to their fleet and launch a boarding action."
Kratos knew very well that these priests of the Adeptus Mechanicus all kept all manner of strange weapons hidden away. They were generally reluctant to use them, only bringing them out in critical situations.
Upon hearing Kratos's urgent voice, Archimonde, the ruling sage, fell silent for several seconds before speaking with obvious reluctance:
"I do have several secret weapons whose purposes are unknown. I had been extremely reluctant to use them, but with the situation so dire, I have no choice."
Hearing Archimonde personally admit that he still had secret weapons, Kratos was immediately overjoyed. "Thank you very much for your sacrifice, Ruling Sage Archimonde. You have given us hope of victory."
"But don't celebrate too soon. I still haven't figured out what these mysterious weapons actually do."
Seeing the excitement on Kratos's face, Archimonde could not help but interrupt his fantasies.
He had discovered these mysterious weapons by accident several centuries ago while leading an exploration fleet. Even after spending centuries studying them, he had never figured out their proper methods of use.
All he knew was that they could be infused with endless energy, then launched at the enemy. Only after they were used would their purpose become clear. Some powerful weapons could easily destroy an entire fleet, while weaker ones were no more effective than ordinary torpedoes. They all looked quite similar, making them extremely difficult to distinguish.
"All our hopes rest on Ruling Sage Archimonde now." Kratos gave Archimonde a deep Aquila salute.
"Very well."
