After Gray's squad dealt with the Skitarii who had come to stop them, they continued toward the bridge. With heavy thud, thud, thud footsteps, the Dreadnought led the way ahead.

Not long after, they arrived outside the bridge doors. Along the way, they had not encountered a single member of the Adeptus Mechanicus trying to stop them, as though the Adeptus Mechanicus's living forces had already been completely wiped out.

"Captain Gray, do we attack directly? The radar can't scan the bridge's interior. They should have an anti-radar device capable of blocking radar scans."

The Dreadnought pilot looked at the massive steel doors of the bridge and asked Gray, reporting the intelligence he had gathered as he waited for Gray's next order.

"Attack. Since we've already come this far, we can't retreat." Gray looked at the massive steel doors of the bridge. After some thought, he decided to press the attack.

Now that they had reached this point, retreat was no longer possible. If he chose to back down whenever he encountered danger, it would disgrace the Lord of the Stars. Gray would rather die than accept that.

"Got it." Having received Gray's approval, one Dreadnought pilot excitedly drove his Dreadnought toward the bridge doors.

As the Dreadnought moved, the mechanical power unit mounted on its left arm glowed blue. With thud, thud, thud footsteps, it charged toward the doors in great strides under its pilot's control. Raising its arm, the Dreadnought threw a punch at the door before it.

Boom!

A tremendous crash of shattering steel rang out. The bridge's massive steel doors were utterly pulverized by the Dreadnought's punch, and the powerful recoil sent broken steel fragments flying in all directions with a clanging clang, clang.

After the Dreadnought blasted apart the bridge doors, nothing inside attacked it.
