At that moment, the elite squad led by Shino was locked in a desperate battle with the Orks. As time passed, Shino keenly noticed something unusual—the number of Orks entering the passage was gradually decreasing.
Yet this change gave Shino and the others a glimmer of hope. The fewer Orks entered the passage, the less pressure they had to endure. It gave them hope of survival and made them realize that this life-or-death struggle might soon see a turning point.
Just then, Shino killed an Ork and took the chance to assess the situation inside the passage. To his surprise, fewer than a hundred Orks remained in the corridor. The rest lay sprawled in pools of blood.
But what pained him most was that the elite squad he had brought now had only a dozen or so members left. These survivors still fought stubbornly against the Orks, unwilling to give up easily.
When Shino emerged from his intensely focused combat state, he heard fierce fighting outside the passage. The sound was like a double-edged sword, bringing him a trace of relief while plunging him into deep worry.
He did not know what was happening outside, but he knew clearly that they had to kill these Orks as quickly as possible if they were to find out what had happened beyond the passage.
"Hold on, brothers! Someone has come to save us!" Shino quickly moved to meet another Ork, shouting to the members of the elite squad.
"Reinforcements have arrived?"
The elite squad members fighting the Orks were immediately stirred by Shino's warning. Only then did they notice that the number of Orks in the passage had become very small.
"Kill!"
The surviving elite squad members immediately cried out in excitement, gripping their weapons and charging the Orks once more.
"Waaaaaagh!"
