When Shino left the underground fortress, he had sternly warned Yazha Fei that if he returned, he had to undergo a series of strict inspections and questioning before being allowed back inside.
Otherwise, not only Shino himself but every survivor in the underground fortress would face enormous danger. After all, in this world full of unknowns and crises, being extra vigilant was never a bad thing.
If someone disguised themselves as Shino and tried to deceive Yazha Fei and the others, the consequences would be unimaginable. The entire underground fortress would be plunged into danger because of it. This absolutely could not be ignored. Therefore, Shino had to proceed with utmost caution and ensure that every step was correct.
After receiving Magras's permission, Shino came alone to the underground fortress's steel gate. The gate stood more than thirty meters tall, like an insurmountable giant, while Shino looked so tiny before it, like an insignificant ant.
Shino walked up to an inspection hole in the steel gate and lightly tapped on it with his fingers. His movements were gentle and orderly, as though he were playing a silent melody.
Every tap followed a specific rhythm, neither fast nor slow, like some mysterious Morse code. As time passed, the tapping seemed to become a strange language, conveying a message as it awaited the other side's response.
After knocking on the gate, Shino stopped and quietly waited for Yazha Fei and the others inside to respond.
With two soft clicks, the inspection hole on the massive metal gate slowly opened. The opening grew larger and larger until it formed a hole the size of a human head.
This hole allowed those inside to observe the situation outside, while also allowing those outside to see into the gate.
"Lord Shino, you've finally returned safely!
