Time flew by, and every star system under the rule of the Lord of the Stars was immersed in an atmosphere of bustling development.
"Captain Mendeleev, we have just completed the construction of two hundred frigates and four hundred fifty destroyers. They are now neatly docked in the space shipyards. You can send personnel over at any time to take delivery and fly these warships away."
Malzahar, the person in charge of warship construction, called Mendeleev's personal terminal. After Mendeleev answered, he delivered the good news.
Only after the navy successfully took delivery of and flew away the completed warships could the space shipyards begin a new round of construction.
"They're finished already? That quickly?" Mendeleev stared at Malzahar in astonishment, his eyes filled with doubt and disbelief.
Just a few years ago, before the first expedition had begun, these warships had still been under intense construction. According to the schedule provided by the logistics department at the time, they had been expected to take roughly another year to complete. Yet now, they had been finished a full year ahead of schedule!
How could Mendeleev not be shocked? Ever since he had set out on the first expedition, he had been busy dealing with naval affairs and had simply had no time to pay attention to the construction progress of the warships.
And now Malzahar was telling him that the construction of hundreds of warships had already been completed.
"Captain Mendeleev, have you forgotten that the Lord of the Stars personally expanded the space shipyards last time?"
With a broad smile on his face, Malzahar looked at Mendeleev and gently reminded him, "Ever since the Lord of the Stars personally expanded the space shipyards, the available space within them has increased enormously, improving the speed at which we build warships."
