Spike was lost in his thoughts when a shrill, piercing barrage of barking suddenly rang in his ears, jolting him awake from his daze.
His heart clenched, and his body reacted instinctively, trying to evade the robotic dog lunging at him like lightning.
Just then, a thunderous BOOM erupted, as if heaven and earth were collapsing, deafeningly loud.
Violent flames from the explosion shot into the sky, and a massive shockwave swept through the area. Spike did not even have time to let out one final cry before he and the vicious robotic dog were swallowed by endless darkness, vanishing from this world forever.

Yet the robotic dog failed to notice something strange—while the Blood Angel sprinted forward, several snow-white, crystal-clear feathers drifted slowly down behind him.
The feathers seemed to possess some mysterious power, radiating a faint but impossible-to-ignore glow.
When the robotic dog carelessly stepped on one of the feathers, a miracle occurred.
Its lightning-fast stride came to an abrupt halt. As though struck by a paralysis spell, it stood blankly in place, its hollow mechanical gaze fixed on the retreating back of the Blood Angel.
A moment later, the robotic dog's electronic eyes began spinning wildly, as if a human mind had fallen into confusion. A few seconds later, its electronic eyes returned to normal, and
