"Boom, boom..." Under the tense gaze of the Carcharodons, five eight-meter-tall mechs slowly emerged side by side from the corners of the corridors on either side.
These mechs stood like steel behemoths. The enormous muzzles mounted on their arms were as deep and terrifying as black holes, coldly trained on the Carcharodons.
The dark muzzles radiated a chilling aura, as if they could devour all life, filling everyone with an overwhelming sense of oppression.
"Attack!"
The moment he saw the mechs, the First Company Captain's face flushed crimson. He shouted the order to attack at the top of his lungs.
Bang, bang, bang!
Rat-a-tat-tat! Gunfire rang out like a torrential downpour.
Bolter and Heavy Bolter rounds interwove, forming an impenetrable curtain of fire that roared toward the ten mechs in the distance.
The seemingly ferocious attack was utterly futile against the mechs. A pale blue light suddenly shimmered across their surfaces, like an invisible shield—the Void Shield—and easily repelled every bullet in the dense barrage.
The bullets struck the Void Shield, raising only faint ripples, like raindrops falling on a still lake, before exploding one after another.
Faced with such an impenetrable defense, the Carcharodons did not retreat. They continued to unleash a furious barrage, but they still couldn't break through the enemy's line.
Just then, one of the Earth Dreadnoughts adjusted its muzzle slightly and gently squeezed the trigger. A string of thick rounds poured from its barrel, hurtling toward the Carcharodons at astonishing speed with a sharp whistle.
Pff, pff, pff...
The bullets easily punched through the bodies of more than a dozen Carcharodons who had tried to approach the Earth Dreadnoughts. Blood sprayed through the air, and screams rose one after another.
In a single instant, more than a dozen lives were snuffed out on the battlefield.
