Once the soldiers on both sides wearing Terminator Armour came within five meters of each other, their protective Void Shields were neutralized by the opposing Void Shield fields. Now, both sides could only rely on the protection of their Terminator Armour.
Gray grinned savagely at the Astartes Space Marine before him, clad in Cataphractii-pattern Terminator Armour. Once the Void Shields failed, Gray used his agile speed to evade the incoming bolts while rapidly closing in on his opponent.
The barrels of the Astartes Space Marine's multi-barreled heavy Bolter mounted on his arm had already begun to smoke from the heat, yet not a single shot struck Gray. Every incoming round was easily dodged.
However, the relatively sluggish Cataphractii-pattern Terminator Armour could not keep up with Gray's nimble movements. The Astartes Space Marine could only watch helplessly as Gray closed in at high speed.
"Imperial dog, go in peace."
Gray spoke softly to the Astartes Space Marine.
"Heretic, I will kill you with my own hands and prove my unwavering faith in the Emperor."
The Astartes Space Marine retorted without backing down.
The Astartes Space Marine drew the Chainsword hanging at his waist with his left hand and slashed down at the approaching Gray.
Gray swiftly sidestepped the Astartes Space Marine's attack, rapidly drew the Plasma Pistol at his waist with his left hand, and pulled the trigger at the Astartes Space Marine's head. With a hiss, a flash of light streaked past.
The Astartes Space Marine's Ceramite helmet was easily pierced by the Plasma Pistol, along with the head inside it. The Space Marine fell unwillingly to the ground.
After killing the Astartes Space Marine in Terminator Armour, Gray darted aside to evade the barrage of bullets aimed at him and continued charging toward another Astartes Space Marine.
