The military's senior officers watched the Dreadnought test through virtual projections on the bridge, all smiles as they continuously praised the greatness of the Lord of the Stars.
Gray looked at the Art Student with a beaming smile. "My lord, is this the Dreadnought of our Space Marines? Its displayed strength is truly formidable. It's a pity there are too few qualified Dreadnought pilots. Otherwise, each battalion could be equipped with hundreds of Dreadnoughts."
Gray's gaze toward the Art Student was filled with reverence. The Lord of the Stars kept producing powerful technology to equip the Space Marines, and their numbers were steadily growing. However, when Dreadnought pilots were mentioned, his expression turned regretful again.
The Space Marines had now surpassed fifteen hundred men, every one of them fully equipped with fine power armor. Their weapons and equipment were stronger than those of an Imperium Chapter.
Yet a qualified Dreadnought pilot had to be selected from among thousands before they could bring out a Dreadnought's full capabilities.
After hearing Gray's words, Anrida could not help teasing him. "Captain Gray, you're wrong about that."
Gray looked at Anrida in confusion. "How am I wrong? If every battalion had a few more of these powerful Dreadnoughts, wouldn't they be invincible on the battlefield?"
In Gray's eyes, the more of this powerful equipment they had, the better. They could simply crush their opponents with overwhelming strength, and then there would be hardly any casualties after a war.
"You see, powerful weapons need qualified personnel to operate them if they are to fully display their performance. If you just found a bunch of useless fools to pilot Dreadnoughts, they probably couldn't even defeat an Ork Deff Dread. Wouldn't that be an insult to the Lord of the Stars' research results?
