After a large number of Greenskin bosses joined the battle, the Orks became even more ferocious. Their charge became unstoppable, every Greenskin desperately rushing forward.
As these Greenskin bosses charged, if the Greenskin blocking their way was not one of their underlings, they would simply slap them aside, sending the obstructing Ork staggering.
"Don't block my way. Get outta the way."
Iron Hand said unhappily after slapping an Ork Boy flying during the charge.
After the slapped-away Ork Boy angrily climbed to his feet, he had originally intended to storm over and take revenge. But when he discovered that the one who had hit him was a Greenskin boss, he could only cast an unwilling glance at the well-equipped Ork Boys following behind Iron Hand.
Realizing he could not beat the other party, the Ork Boy could only abandon the thought of revenge, grip his weapon, and continue charging forward.
Ork bosses had far better equipment than ordinary Ork Boys, and their reactions were quicker as well. Facing the incoming bullets, they continually dodged from side to side, struggling to evade the barrage.
Iron Hand held up a massive shield in his left hand and continued charging forward. Large numbers of armor-piercing rounds struck the shield with constant clangs, numbing his arm from the impacts.
Yet Iron Hand relied on his immense physical strength to forcibly withstand the bullets' impact. Bracing against the gunfire, he advanced step by step, trying to get closer to the defensive line.
The tank unit commander watched the images transmitted through his helmet visor. More than a dozen Ork bosses, surrounded by their underlings, were rapidly advancing under the intense fire of rifles and heavy machine guns.
"Anti-aircraft gun, aim at the Ork bosses and fire hard!"
The tank unit commander roared the order through the communications channel.
An anti-aircraft gun mounted on an Apocalypse Tank was aimed at the Ork bosses ahead by its gunner, who pulled the trigger.
"Clang, clang, clang!"
The anti-aircraft gun's distinctive roar rang out behind the defensive line. Its rate of fire, reaching tens of thousands of rounds per minute, shrieked across the battlefield like the Grim Reaper.
"Thud, thud, thud!"
Under the gunner's control, every anti-aircraft round flew precisely toward the Greenskin bosses. After Iron Hand's shield was struck by three such rounds, it instantly shattered and crashed to the ground.
Reacting swiftly when he saw his shield break, Iron Hand raised his left hand fitted with a Power Claw, turned sideways to shield his body, and charged forward with the claw braced before him, trying to escape the danger of being targeted by the anti-aircraft gun.
"Clang, clang, clang!"
Iron Hand's Power Claw was struck by the anti-aircraft rounds close behind. The immense kinetic force from the impacts continually pushed Iron Hand backward.
"AAAAARGH!"
Iron Hand roared furiously. His thick legs continuously drove against the ground, leaving footprints even in the solid surface made of sturdy materials beneath his feet.
The enraged Iron Hand wanted to keep charging forward. He did not want to retreat so unwillingly. This was not the outcome he wanted.
Iron Hand's green skin had turned somewhat red from his exertion. With bloodshot eyes, he stared at the human trenches less than three hundred meters away, filled with unwillingness and fury.
With a sharp crack, the hard Power Claw on Iron Hand's arm gave an unwilling wail before bursting apart, its fragments falling to the ground.
"Pfft, pfft, pfft!" Blood sprayed everywhere. Iron Hand's towering body was easily punched through by the anti-aircraft rounds, leaving enormous bloody holes. His head was shattered into tiny fragments.
Every bloody hole in the Greenskin boss's body was larger than the Greenskin boss's head, and blood burst forth under the external pressure as spectacularly as fountains.
"Boss Iron Hand! Boss Iron Hand!"
The Ork Boys following behind Iron Hand to protect their boss saw their valiant leader killed just like that and immediately fell into chaos. Some Ork Boys wanted to charge forward and avenge their boss.
Even more Ork Boys wanted to retreat from the area and return to where the Greenskin bosses were gathered to find new bosses.
"Pfft, pfft, pfft!" The following anti-aircraft rounds struck those Ork Boys, easily slaughtering large numbers of well-equipped Ork Boys.
The dozen or so Greenskin bosses leading the charge all died beneath this wave of anti-aircraft fire, dealing a severe blow to the Orks' morale.
Large numbers of Ork Boys still charging forward saw the scene before them and tried to retreat, but the Ork Boys behind them, who had not seen the bosses killed, were still rushing ahead.
The Greenskins trying to retreat collided with the Greenskins charging forward behind them, plunging the entire Ork mass into chaos.
"Quick, quick! Attack the area where the Greenskins are in disarray!"
When the artillery company commander saw the chaos break out among the Greenskins, he sent the coordinates received through his helmet to his soldiers and excitedly gave the order through the communications channel.
After receiving the coordinates sent by their company commander, the artillerymen quickly adjusted the howitzer barrels and began bombarding the area where the Orks had fallen into confusion.
"Boom!"
"Boom!"
Shell after shell exploded amid the chaotic Orks. Every shell inflicted astonishing casualties. Since the Orks were in disarray and packed tightly together, large numbers of Greenskins were killed in groups.
"Hmph, a bunch of stupid Gretchin."
Seeing the Greenskin bosses who had rushed to the front all killed, throwing the Orks into chaos, Iron Bull snorted in dissatisfaction.
"Boss, let us keep leading the lads in!"
A Greenskin boss standing beside Iron Bull had also seen the dozen or so Greenskin bosses led by Iron Hand get killed. He stepped forward voluntarily and spoke to Iron Bull.
Iron Bull turned to look at the speaking Greenskin boss and found that he was Blood Axe, the leader of his boss guard.
"Withdraw. Since even Iron Hand couldn't get through, the result won't be much different if you go. Once I regroup the lads, we'll launch another charge at the humans' position."
After thinking for a moment, Iron Bull said to Blood Axe.
"Boss, Iron Hand ain't my match."
Hearing Iron Bull's words, Blood Axe said to him in dissatisfaction.
"Retreat."
Iron Bull fixed Blood Axe with an angry glare and shouted.
"Yes."
Seeing Iron Bull's furious expression, Blood Axe could not help shuddering and immediately chose to obey.
Blood Axe knew that Boss Iron Bull was an extremely cunning and cruel boss. A boss in a rage could not be provoked, so it was best to obediently follow his arrangements.
"Lads, we're retreatin'!"
Blood Axe turned around and shouted loudly.
Though many Greenskins still charging forward did not understand Blood Axe's order, they obediently stopped and quickly retreated to the rear.
Iron Bull cast a deep glance toward the Defense Force's position, then turned and ran back in the direction they had come from.
